This organization makes a lot of claims online about different services they offer. There is little transparency though about who they help, or how they disburse their grants funding.
You may enter their co-ordinated entry and be at high risk according to their point system of risk factors, and not be offered any assistance or referrals except to be told to go to a regular shelter. I already figured out I could do that.
I was told by employees that they do not help with obtaining emergency grant funding through referrals to the Homeless Impact Division for housing. However I am referred back to them over and over because they supposedly do this.
Employees are polite, but tell you over and over that you are on a waiting list, and there is nothing they can do for you except help with a security deposit IF YOU CAN OBTAIN HOUSING SOMEHOW.
