Mission: To provide the opportunity for chronically welfare-dependent alcoholic and/or drug addicted individuals to become self-supporting citizens.
Programs: For more than 60 years, the mary lind recovery centers ("mary lind") has provided residential substance abuse recovery services to homeless men and women throughout southern california. Mary lind's primary service area is central los angeles, including downtown's skid row and the westlake district's macarthur park. At any one time, mary lind serves more than 300 men and women, many of whom are homeless, at the state licensed and certified royal palms, bimini and rena b. Recovery homes. Mary lind believes that recovery, adult education, and job preparedness work together to resurrect lives, and that gains in these areas reduce the chance of recidivism. Therefore, the recovery program includes adult education, including a formal computer software training class, g. E. D. Preparation, life skills classes, and vocational guidance services.
