Experienced instructors lead english language learner and citizenship classes at the community house. Bilingual staff and volunteers provide translation and interpretation services in eight languages.
children's programs-camp imagination is a summer academic program that focuses on stopping summer learning loss in elementary school children. In the parent and child preschool program readiness skills are taught to three, four and five year old children whose parents are attending the community house's english classes. Abra palabra is a program providing spanish lessons for four to six year olds.
volunteer income tax assistance (vita)-irs certified volunteers provide free tax preparation services to low income clients while educating them about income taxes and financial literacy tools. Community garden-garden plots are available to community members to tend and reap the produce. Extra produce is shared in the community at no cost.
