Mary Crowley saved my life. I had metastatic triple negative breast cancer. I was thankful to be accepted into their clinical trial for immunotherapy. EVERYONE who works there is truly extraordinary. I was treated with love and respect always. Not only do they treat their patients with care, they treat each other with a, how can I help you, attitude. My daughter wants to be a nurse after having spent many visits there during my treatment because of the way they treated each other and me. I liked that the treatment room was small and open and the chairs are very comfortable. Every department at Mary Crowley (admin, doctors, nurses etc etc) is exceptional. I am forever thankful to everyone at Mary Crowley. Hope lives at Mary Crowley!
We were told we had no hope after my husband’s stage 4 cancer diagnosis. Then we came to Mary Crowley, whose motto is “Hope lives here.” One of my favorite MC quotes is “If plan A doesn’t work, there are 25 more letters in the alphabet.” The staff has become a group of friends and we are two years into a clinical trial with no growth! We thank God for Mary Crowley every day.
When others closed their doors during the pandemic, Mary Crowley Cancer Research kept their doors open! Cancer doesn't stop and neither does Mary Crowley Cancer Research!!!
Being a cancer conqueror to me means after 4.5 years of NED; it has really given me a wonderful perspective on life.
My cancer journey has created a passion in me to help others battle cancer, including those close to cancer victims. I feel fortunate to have a mission to help others, to help them through the battles I survived. I've turned my life’s focus to cancer education, advocacy and finding a cure.
The Mary Crowley Cancer Research Mission Statement mirrors my passion and resonates, "expand treatment options for all cancer patients through investigational vaccine, gene, and cellular therapies."
I've dedicated my life to helping others through philanthropy. As an advocate & mentor, I strive to stay abreast of the latest in cancer research and treatments.

When my husband and I were first referred to Mary Crowley, we had been told that there was nothing more that could be done medically to treat my husband's cancer. When we arrived at Mary Crowley, the first thing we saw was the sign on the wall that says "Hope lives here." We have since learned that this motto is a true representation of what happens at Mary Crowley. At Mary Crowley, my husband is not just a number, he is an individual whose treatment is specific to the characteristics of his particular cancer. He has currently been enrolled in a trial for just over a year, and although the cancer hasn't shrunk, it hasn't grown either. He still does not have symptoms of cancer, and the side effects he experiences are much less difficult to live with than when he was previously treated with chemotherapy. We are confident that should this treatment stop working, our doctors will find another. As they say at Mary Crowley, "If plan A doesn't work, there are 25 more letters in the alphabet." We are so grateful for our experience with Mary Crowley and wish that all cancer patients had access to the same kind of care.
