we are not at all wealthy but we do give and research who we give to out of the many request needing help. 100 percent of our limited giving goes to the most abused on earth the animals as it is a double crime what humans do to them because they do not understand mans EVIL and i fully understand that ONE OF THE BEST OF THE BEST TO GIVE TO IS THE IRONWOOD PIG SANCTUARY.

A blessing is to follow the progress of, and donating to, Ironwood Pig Sancutary. I've been a donor since 2006. The evolving history of Ironwood initially rescuing and caring for the bourgeoning pot belly pig populations who continue to be discarded on roadsides to fend for themselves is inspiring, as are the pleas from well-intentioned purchasers.

You learn how the pigs help determine their optimal special home field and friends, health and individual personalities.

Mary, Ben, Donna, and a plethora of volunteers provide for the continuing life sanctuary of the inhabitants of Ironwood.

I donate to a number of animal charities and received the Ironwood newsletter in the mail one day, most likely from a shared list from one of these other charities. This is one of the only charities I know about that takes in potbellied pigs, and they are experts in their care. Ironwood names every one of their pigs and the newsletters they send have bios of the pigs and their personalities, asking for sponsors for a few of them each time in a humorous and sweet way. I actually look forward to reading about their work, their volunteers, the rescues they've made, and being educated on why potbellied pigs are not the best pets for everyone...and especially if it's a single pig left alone in a house for most of the day. I have NEVER received an "urgent plea" that they "need money because we're running out of food" or anything like that. This organization is well-run, they do not spam you, and they do a very rare and important job - taking care of unwanted potbellied pigs that people no longer want as pets. I sponsor a pig there for $30/month and get a nice picture and personal letter each year about my sponsored pig. Highly recommended!
