I AM A DONOR, A VOLUNTEER, AND A CLIENT. STARTED WITH THIS GROUP AT LEAST TEN YEARS AGO WHEN I WAS A TEACHER AT DIERUFF HIGH SCHOOL. OUR MASCOT IS A LIVE SIBERIAN HUSKY, ALWAYS NAMED KISKA. NOW I HAVE KISKA V, WHICH WAS A GIFT TO ME AND THE STUDENT BODY FROM MA PAW HUSKY RESCUE. DEFINITELY A FIVE STAR RATING. THYE DO SUCH A GRREAT JOB PLACING DOGS AND WITH USKY HOSPICE. IT REALLY IS A MINISTRY WHAT THEY DO WITH THIS UNWANTED DOGS. HUSKIES ARE VERY INDEPENDENT AND STRONG-WILLED AND SO NOT THE EASIEST TO HANDLE. PAT IS A TRUE DOG WHISPERER. HE IS INCREDIBLE WITH THESE DOGS, INCLUDING MINE. KATHY GIVES SUCH LOVING CARE TO ALL THE DOGS, BUT ESPECIALLY TO THOSE OLD AND SICK DOGS IN HOSPICE. A WONDERFUL GROUP OF PEOPLE.

Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Animal Protection & Welfare, Animals
Mission: MaPaw Siberian Husky Rescue is an organization dedicated to the caring and placement of Siberian Husky and Husky mix dogs into loving, permanent homes through adoption and referral services.
Results: In 2011, we brought 62 pups into MaPaw foster homes and helped 51 pups find their forever homes. In 2012, we are hopeful that our kennels will be completed so that we can help even more dogs get their second chance at the wonderful life they all deserve.
Geographic areas served: Our adoption area is within a 100 mile radius of Philadelphia, PA.
Programs: MaPaw currently has 8 permanent residents that will remain with their MaPaw foster homes for the rest of their lives. Some of these pups have behavioral issues, such as food aggression. While others have medical conditions, such as severe epilepsy or a previous spinal cord injury that causes them to constantly shake. Others we feel are comfortable where they are and do not adapt to changes in their environment well.
