Do useful work as an organization that preserves low income housing. Not a traditional nonprofit housing model in that there are no relationships, services, values expected of a typical nonprofit. MHCP focuses more on property management with an emphasis on renovation and administration. The previous exec was going to leave prior to the recession but has remained on staff, albeit in a lower and less responsible position. A member of the board is now in the exec position, onboarded when their private business was experiencing the recession as well. Politics within the organization would indicate that despite the organization existing for quite a while there is a lot of team and consensus building still needed.

Mission: Mhcp's mission is to preserve and manage manufactured housing communities (mhc's) for low-income households and serve as a resource for other manufactured housing communities and residents who wish to develop tenant-controlled communities.
Programs: Preservation and operation of five manufactured housing communities, which provide affordable housing for 342 households, as well as promotion and advancement of tenant independence.
mhcp manages a manufactured housing community (wonderland estates) under a service contract with the king county housing authority and provides consulting services to the hidden village homeowner's association.
