I have been a volunteer at Manna for 5 years! Manna allows me to be able to share my time and skills so that my neighbors who are struggling have a clean, dignified, cheerful place to go and shop and feed their families. I always leave there feeling so appreciated and humbled. It is an amazing place to volunteer that gives back to me more than I could every return in volunteer hours :)
Manna on Main Street provides meals, groceries, education classes, and community to those in need in th NP region. There are caring, understanding staff members who are available to listen and help. Manna is a wonderful community organization.
Manna on Main Street is a fantastic community organization that does invaluable service in the North Penn region. Their mission, to end hunger in the north penn region, and their vision, that everyone might be fed, are absolutely central to who they are a non-profit. They wisely use resources, are volunteer-driven (in addition to their small, dedicated staff), and go beyond just providing a meal and groceries - they also provide educational and job readiness training opportunities for community members in order to help them get back on their feet.
Kudos to Manna on Main Street in Lansdale, PA for the great work they do.
Manna on Main Street is a provider of meals and groceries to the people in need in our community and is the go to organization in resolving food insecurity in the community.
Manna on Main serves hot meals and provides groceries and financial aid to those in need, of course. The unique aspect of Manna, however, is the abiding respect for the humanity of it's clients. Whether it is "service with a smile" from volunteers / staff or client inclusion in training, surveys and even programs, Manna always recognizes the privilege of service. I'm so proud to be associated with this organization.
Manna on Main Street supports the mission that "all might be fed." This non-profit plays a vital role in our community to help the hunger deprived (& those below the poverty line) which is a number that has grown over the last few years. Thanks to community network support the needs and requirements are addressed on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis! Visit >> www.mannaonmain.org
Manna on Main street is the Bastion of hope for so many in our community- from the hungry looking for a dignified meal to the volunteer seeking to give of themselves back to the community in need. It never amazes me the deep commitment to our enduring vision of ending hunger in our area of those who serve through Manna. Having been involved as a volunteer for 10 years and a board member entering my 9th year, I have witnessed first hand the transformation of this organization from one serving about 20 meals per meal to now at times over 120 meals/day. With the rapid growth of suburban poverty in our area- Manna is able to deliver efficient and effective services to those in need when they need it most- from hot meals in dignified space of our dining room, food pantry and new educational programs to help address some of the root causes of suburban poverty on some level. The deep and passioned commitment of our amazing staff furthers manna's mission on a daily basis. It is and has been a great honor to serve the community through Manna and with those who work at Manna and serve through Manna.
Manna on Main Street is an exceptional organization. The staff, vounteers and constituents have an infectious passion for serving the community. The community reinforces this passion with overwhelming support of Manna's mission. I am proud to be affiliated with an organization that is so well respected.
Manna on Main Street is so much more than a soup kitchen--it is a conerstone of our community. At the center of its mission, Manna serves hot meals and provides groceries to those needing healthy foods, but this is only the beginning of Manna's story. Manna is an education center, offering its clients various life skills and job training classes; it is a provider of emergency financial aid; it is a contact point for those in need, assisting clients through the web of federal, state, and local support services; it is a place of friendship, mentorship, and community. Lansdale is proud to have Manna in its community!
I have been working with Manna supporting their vision to End Hunger in the North Penn region for a few years. The community passionately supports the organization and the organization passionately supports the community. The staff and volunteers are amazing!!
I started volunteering for Manna a little more than a year ago. I was immediatley impressed on how dedicated and focused on helping those in need in our community the people at Manna are. Since then I have joined a committee and really enjoy the time that I spend volunteering. I am proud to be a part of this organization and hope to continue my work with them for many years to come. Not only do I enjoy the people that I volunteer with but also the clients that we help.
Growing up my entire life in Lansdale, my parents struggling financially, and food often lacking, I am glad to be a volunteer at Manna on Main Street. I realize now that Manna doesn't just hand out food... they provide 2 meals a day M-F and a brunch on Sunday, they offer a food pantry to those who qualify, and host several classes such as computeer education, creating a resume, etc. I love seeing the passion of the staff at Manna helping those in need and making a difference.
