Mission: Manna International was founded in 1983. It began as a dream of a group of teenagers who wanted to make a difference in the lives of Ethiopian Famine victims. It has grown into a world-wide relief and development organization that has reached over 2 million people through its outreach. Manna provides emergency food supplies to people facing starvation as a result of famine, drought and war. Water wells are drilled in communities that do not have access to safe, clean drinking water. Manna supports medical clinics that strive to alleviate the diseases that kill so many young children. Manna also provides educational opportunity, agricultural development, and economic development opportunities to people in all parts of the world. The purpose of every Manna ministry project is to provide for the physical and spiritual needs of others. Most Manna projects are coordinated with local churches in the area of need. Empowering local churches to serve as the source of aid creates a bond between the church and those in need.
