Programs: Fiscal intermediary/employer of record- mrci was one of the first agencies in minnesota to offer employer of record/fiscal intermediary services. In 2004, mrci became certified by the department of human services as a fiscal support entity. In 2010, mrci received certification following a readiness review for vdhcbs services. A fiscal support entity is an umbrella agency that offers a wide range of services under community directed consumer supports (cdcs) including fiscal conduit, fiscal employer agent, agency with choice. Under the fiscal employer agent model, the family is the employer and buys assistance from mrci for payroll functions and insurance. Agency with choice is similar to the employer of record program. In addition to these self-directed programs, mrci supports families in mn's pca choice program, personal support and respite, and a host of smaller programs. Mrci has extended its service area to include 50 counties including the twin cities and surrounding areas and southern minnesota. Total number of employees in this program is 3,200 serving 1,609 individuals.
day training and rehabilitation- to meet the complex challenges and special needs of people with severe developmental disabilities. Dt&h offers individualized programs. Supporters are provided to the individuals throughout the day as each person participates in the type of activity that is best suited to his or her needs including community employment and center-based work, and social, recreational, and educational components. All aspects of a person's needs are addressed. Mrci provides services through 11 programs in six counties.
mrci quality products- prime manufacturing. Packing of candy products for retail customers in order to provide cunsumer work of labeling the product.
community employment- our community employment program supports people in single site job placements and work crews. A single site placement provides a job for one individual. Job coaching is provided to assure success. Work crews can be a small group of people working together at business sites on a contract basis or a mobile group covering several locations. Both types of work crews are supervised by mrci staff. Work may include assembly, packaging, food service, laundry, retail or janitorial tasks. Clients often do a number of job tryouts to obtain a good job match. Mrci served 1,110 people in the community, of this number 300 were totally employer paid. Mrci paid wages for those clients in the community totaled $1. 9 million with sales of $2. 1 million.
