MANDATE Project does a lot for the city of San Diego, CA. It is very important to be able to position these young people to be successful as well. I have experienced events sponsored by MANDATE Records, Inc. and the events have been well attended and service so many young people.

I have had the pleasure of watching the Mandate Project Impact make a direct positive impact on the community I grew up in. Targeting underserved communities and children, the President and Chief Executive Officer serves as an inspiring mentor and is respected immensely by all. He’s helped the organization establish an excellent reputation for helping young adults empower themselves and achieve goals and grow both personally and professionally. I would recommend Mandate Project Impact to anyone in need of finding a direction in their lives and learning how to accomplish goals.

Music heals the soul, writing purges the heart and mind and sharing the recordings heals the community. MPI does that for the broken spirited, the hopeless, the weary and the "lost" youth of our community helping rejuvenate them into young lady's and gentleman who are resilient, hopeful, and productive members of our society who can have the opportunity to continue the legacy of MPI and continue to help heal our youth in the community.

MPI is a great nonprofit organization in the community and abroad. Some years back I had the opportunity to attend the Gospel Day at the San Diego Fair, it was amazing as well as an honor to have been there being from Texas. My husband and I are recently new to the state and MPI has been a blessing to us in so many ways. We are just honored to be apart of a nonprofit that is so positive in every way. Thank you MPI for allowing us to be apart and work along side of you all.

Where do I even begin? Mandate Project Impact has profoundly impacted my life in such a positive aspect. I began interning within the marketing department and it helped me learn more about social media marketing from a business perspective, as well as branding the business in a matter that would sell the products and portray the company in a positive light.

I've got to help out with being the assistant to the CEO during the Gospel Day at the Del Mar Fairgrounds and with that, I learned that management during an event requires long hours and plenty of clear communication, I had so much fun learning and experiencing management.

I've got the chance to work Jazz at the Creek Concert, three series, in the sales and promotion department. The environment is always positive and no matter what, if anything were to ever go wrong there would always be a way to fix it. The people from the staff at the venue and the record label are willing to help in any aspect.

And last but not lease, Bayside Gospel on the Midway! I was placed in the sales and promotion department and I had a fun time handling the artists merchandise and making connections with those who were in attendance. For an event like that to be on the Midway was astonishing!

I would choose MPI for the value of the lessons taught and the kindness of the staff. They helped me come out of my shell and I am forever grateful for that. I am such an introvert and learning from the staff at Mandate Records helped me become some sort of an extravert. The confidence that I grew within the company has made me want more for myself and the company.

My name is Mauna Griffin and I am an intern within Mandate Project Impact, engineering radio program. Through this opportunity, I am currently the sound engineer for G.O.D. Radio. With this position, I have been able to learn about the technology and production involved in radio and sound engineering --something I've always had a passion in learning through the pursuit of music. Through MPI, I have been provided opportunities to attend and assist events, concerts, and festivals that I would otherwise not have the chance of experiencing first-hand. It is an amazing opportunity to be able to work in a recording studio, learning hands-on techniques in music production within the industry. MPI is important to the community because it provides people like me --who would not have the chance to pursue an education or career in music-- a chance to gain knowledge and experience in the arts. Their hearts for both the Lord and the people they serve are evident in their choices and actions. They make it an honor to work for them. It is their mission to serve the community with an open heart always. They truly represent and act out their name and that is why they deserve recognition and support: Making A Necessary Difference At The End.

The Southeast San Diego area in San Diego California has not been one of the greatest places to live in San Diego, however back in the day it was the place to be. Today, it is under going a great transformation with planned redevelopment being at the forefront of this change . Part of the redevelopment was to bring more positive African American cultural events and experiences. One of which is Jazz at the Creek. It is located in a central part of Southeast San Diego and is a cultural center for the community. Its tenants are non profits in the area. Downstairs is a great room where cultural breakfasts, business luncheons and beautiful galas are held. Across the way is the amount theater of sorts with stadium seating. This is where I first saw Mr Leonard Thompson. For a long time all of knew was he was the man that brought great jazz , gospel and events to San Diego. It wasn't until about a year ago that I got to meet Leonard, the man with a heart as big as San Diego. Leonard and u share a passion for helping people, but Leonard takes it to a new level. From the paid staff to volunteers to interns, Mandate Project Inc puts out a quality outdoor experience. No one walks away from a Jazz at the creek Concert or a Midway Gospel fest without talking about the quality of the artists. The professionalism it Leonard's team is amazing. Mandate Project Inc is bringing people and businesses of all walks of life, into a community that is once again going to be the place to be and Mandate Project is helping the community get there 1 event at a time. My employer supports Leonard and his endeavors because it is our way of giving back. I support MPI because they support our communities.

MPI represents the best of the San Diego community. From its production of outstanding musical events (Bayside Gospel aboard the U.S.S. Midway, Jazz at the Creek, Gospel Day at the San Diego Fair), it has proven itself over and over again as one of San Diego's outstanding non-profits and truly worthy of the support of the philanthropic endowment community. I applaud the efforts of MPI and look forward to working with this organization in the months and years to come.

So many inner city youth want to be involved in what they see on TV. Ranging from sports figures, to entertainers, to actors, and so much more. Some of them have even turned to social media platforms in both positive and negative ways. But what if someone showed them that there are multiple options in the industry behind the camera? What if someone explained to them that the CGI GRAPHIC designer, the lighting engineer, and the stage manager, are just as important roles and can also be an opportunity for them to get into college and or out of a non-productive environment? Such a thing does exist with Mandate Project Impact, Inc.

Mandate Project Impact, Inc. is so important to our community and inner city youth. This program takes them out of there normal urban routine and places them smack dab in the middle of the entertainment industry and into important roles at events that they see taking place in there communities every year. It helps them to build people skills, work force knowledge and responsibilities, and most importantly the ability to see themselves complete and participate in task and events much bigger than they could have ever imagined.

Not only does MPI help them to learn how to thrive in the workforce, but it helps them to build self-esteem, a sense of self-worth, and the ability to learn and take responsibility for there actions to be positive role models and citizens in their young adult lives.

Many people say they would want to help the community to be better, but Mandate Project Impact, Inc. is actually doing something to make it better. They are doing something by providing a service to our youth and communities By empowering them and letting them see that they are the right now solutions and the future leaders of our communities.

Not only do the kids get to experience and see what it takes to make it in the entertainment industry, but they get to see and work along side with personnel from MPI that come from their same neighborhoods. By doing this, it allows the participants to be able to feel like someone can understand and relate to them. So not only are we showing them how to be successful, but they are mentored and inspired by someone who can relate to them and understand their inward struggles that they face growing up in inner city communities.

So if ever there was a program, which there are many out there, that could use your help and support, Mandate Project Impact, Inc. is one non-profit that could use it the most. If you believe as the song says "the children are our future" leave no child behind and help join forces with MPI to continue to help inner city youth and the continuation of bringing the arts to the neighborhoods that are overlooked by most, but affected the most by neglect and more. If you want to give our youth of today a chance, give Mandate Project Impact, Inc. a chance and you'll see growth in our inner cities.

As a Board member representative from the USS Midway Museum, I have found Mandate Project Impact's (MPI) Bayside Gospel on board the Midway to be hugely success at exposing San Diego's urban youth, and many adults, to the importance of our military in preserving the freedoms we Americans enjoy, and often take for granted. Further, we feel it is important for these youths to know that their forebearers have made marked sacrifices toward our nation's military legacy. We on the museum's staff are appreciative to MPI for using the gospel to connect us with these communities, and for all that MPI does to mentor so many young minds. Bayside Gospel on the Midway is a huge success that we look forward to becoming a perennial mainstay on board the USS Midway Museum!

MPI serves to provide African American culture with opportunities to be reflected in and flourish in San Diego by promoting various top notch civic arts engagements throughout the County. The Bayside Gospel Concert on the Midway is one great example of MPI's achievements in ensuring that diversity in the arts are represented on our main stages in the city of San Diego.

MPI events such as the annual Jazz at the Creek Concert series, offer residents of the 4th District great art experiences right within its own corridors. Each year, these events lend pride to residents as it showcases the beauty of the venue within to guests attending from other areas. These concerts also promote cultural marketplace exchanges between small vendors selling wares and patrons that otherwise find it difficult to engage with each other.

MPI recognizes the importance of arts education for children. It is responsive to the inefficient offerings of programs provided to youth in schools. MPI, through its mentorship/internship program, ensures that its reach is extended to youth who demonstrate an interest or passion in various aspects of the arts. Simply put, our city is seriously deficient in this area of youth support and MPI is greatly commended for its commitment to the future of the arts in this way.

MPI reaches beyond the arts to respond to the many critical needs that are present in urban communities. By partnering with other local non-profits, such as the San Diego Food Bank, it shares much of the proceeds from art engagements with members of our society that are in great need. Several years ago, I had the pleasure of working with MPI to bring the Food 4 Kids Back Pack Program into three District 4 elementary schools. Today, MPI continues to commit a portion of the proceeds from the Jazz in the Creek series to this program in support of students.

In conclusion, MPI is an inspiration and resource to a host of small non-profits and for profits in minority communities. Its high caliber reputation and success draws novice, entrepreneurial spirited, impassioned community members that seek to do great work towards it for guidance and support. MPI is a beacon within the African American community and valued gem. Great pride and expectation exists for MPI, for its continued success and provisions of multi-cultural art experiences and engagements for both communities and the greater San Diego area at large.

MPI is one of San Diego's highly valuable and critical asset, as it truly weaves the fabric of arts diversity into our city. I am most honored to have recently been appointed to serve on its board and look forward to further enhancing its endeavors.

I have the many pleasures of working with MPI multiple times on Jazz at the Creek. This event not only has top talent but more importantly, it engages community residents to attend events in their own neighborhood. Also, a portion of the proceeds go to supporting local youth in the neighborhood. Finally, MPI gives youth the opportunity to intern and volunteer at the event, gaining valuable experience in the music industry. MPI is one of most professional organizations I've worked with.

Mandate Records M.P.I. program is a conduit for young minds to learn the art and craft of the music industry from the inside out. I've been a part of events that allowed them to apply principles of stage setup, interviews and photo shoots, completion of forms for the licensing and release of a new CD and more. This non-profit allows them to take their practical knowledge and apply it in the "real world" and in real-time.

I consider this invaluable for anyone looking to learn, and grow, on the job. This unscripted and natural environment allows them to challenge themselves and grow under the watchful eyes of business professionals. The results of this process are well-rounded, innovative, trained interns with a solid understanding of the music industry and all its intricacies.

My law firm, Oden & Greene, has been a sponsor of Jazz at the Creek for the past three years.
It was great to know that a portion of the proceeds from the concert series was designated to
feed hungry children. This concert series has uplifted the community and is a source of pride.
It has employed underserved community members and has showcased local talent. As a product of this community, I am a proud supporter of Mandate Records and will continue to

My experience with MPI has been great, Working two of their annual events this year has allowed me to network and meet new people who really love giving back to the community. With a host of different events you have Jazz at the Creek that caters to a more mature audience and aboard the Midway you have a family style venue for everyone. The staff is very helpful and organized based on what department they work in and it makes it easy to become of volunteer. I own Open Heart Leaders which is my own non profit and has partnered with MPI for certain events year round to better serve the communities. Looking forward to working with them into the next year.
