Dear Inquirer,

Make-A-Wish built Matthew a Pool, 15' X 30' above ground pool with a deck.

I can not say enough about how much the make a wish foundation has changed our lives. Our child Matthew suffers from Dravet Syndrome (AKA post natal brain damage). He is pron to epileptic seizures, esp when he becomes over heated. The poor child was a prisoner in our Miami home from April to October. Now Matthew gets plenty of exercise in his own back yard! Swimming has always been his favorite activity and the perfect size of this pool will allow Matthew to one day train competitively. As he so desperately needs to maintain his weight due to the rampant diabetes in his family background and medications that cause him to over eat.

Courtney is an Angle of Make-A-Wish, the foundation and her hard work has changes our lives beyond description!

We received our pool from Make A Wish and it has definately changed our lives!!!!... Matthew's posture has gotten better, so have his moods, and he has even lost some weight. This pool has brought our family closer together as we all enjoy a swim in the afternoons making it more fun to spend time together. I have never seen Matthew happier.
There is no way we can express our graditude for how much this has changed the life of a very special little boy. We can't thank you enough!!!
Make A Wish deserves the #1 spot for best Non-Profit Organization of the Year :~)

My son Matthew 8 has a rare seizure disorder called Dravet Syndrome. He has seizures when he gets over heated, over stimulated or just plain hot. It is difficult in the summer when Matthew wants to go outside to play with the other children but he can't because it is just too hot. The South Florida Make a Wish Foundation is trying to grant Matthew's wish for an above ground pool. They have already interviewed Matthew and are now in the process of getting it approved. When Matthew's wish is granted, he will be able to spend the summers splashing around in his pool instead of being cooped up inside and miserable. This will change the life of a very special boy and his entire family. Thanks Make a Wish :~)
