I have been volunteering with this non-profit for 8 years now and I can't rave enough about them.
They provide comprehensive programs starting from prevention all the way to rehab and economic empowerment and everything in between for their clients.

I have seen first hand how staff and volunteers alike are invested in the well being of the clients, always going above and beyond what is expected.

Personally, I know I have become a better person just by association with this organization. I am a better listener, more empathetic, and more grateful than ever for the organization, the services it provides, and the opportunities we get as volunteers.

Huge shoutout to the amazing army of Maitri volunteers and its small yet super effective staff for the amazing work accomplished in recognition and solving of DV.
MAITRI has been tirelessly performing the herculean task to make the Bay Area a better place to live in at the familial level for over 3 decades. This kind of dedication to healing and helping survivors of domestic violence by this agency dedicated to human rights is awe inspiring and worthy of being recognized again and again.
MAITRI is bringing social awareness about DV within the South Asian diaspora and cultural awareness to government agencies to recognize silent distress.
Every single person who reached out to me and I connected to MAITRI for a helping hand was provided a listening ear, information, support and if needed fiscal help, judicious advice and loving response to find their way. Kudos Maitri.
Together we will make this a safe society with respect for humans starting at home

The work that Maitri has been doing, for several decades now, is incredible. The value of support they offer for people in compromised positions who feel otherwise hopeless is hard to put into words. Behind all this are the volunteers that dedicate their time, effort and emotions to this tireless work.

This is one of the most well organized, and consistently so, non profit organizations I have worked with. From the clarity of their messaging, their transparency in relation to fundraising and program development, and their consistency of commitment to their vision and mission, Maitri continues to be an organization I will always champion.

I served on its board for more than 15 years. It's a volunteer-run organization by passionate women and the board that cares for the well-being of women, victims of domestic violence, and away from their home country.
