Mission: Mpa's mission is to involve un/underrepresented people in our democracy and to strengthen individual participation in decision-making processes that affect our lives. We are dedicated to advancing economic, environmental, political, social, and racial justice.
Programs: Statewide & local community organizing - worked to advance grassroots campaigns to: increase wages for working people in maine; advance immigrant rights; work towards fair taxes, expand maine's medicaid program; reduce the influence of special interest money in maine politics; support policies that allow maine seniors to age with dignity in their homes; address the opioid epidemic, and demonstrate the broad public support for protection of programs like social security, medicare, and the affordable care act, among others. We are known for our ability to do grassroots organizing and education that reaches more than 100,000 mainers each year with direct personal contact and quality leadership development work.
