Mission: We are a community dedicated to the prosperity of maine's grocery and food producer industry through excellence in advocacy, networking and education.
Programs: The association is vibrant and is recognized as the leader in the advancement of maine's grocery and food producer industry. The association presents our members opportunities to improve their business's growth and operations through government and industry advocacy, networking and education. It represents the interests of maine grocers, food producers and their industry partners through lobbying, government relations,and relationships with national and regional organizations. It maintains and disseminates essential industry resources and timely information to educate and inform our members, government and the public through newsletters and alerts. It offers educational programs and networking events, including the maine food means business summit and the food for thought forum. It grants three 1,000 college scholarships to qualifying high school students to further their education.
