Mission: The charitable purpose of the conservancy includes operating and maintaining main plaza in san antonio, texas, in coordination with the city of san antonio and bexar county, texas; developing and implementing a strategy to increase awareness of the historical and cultural significance of main plaza of san antonio; and organizing cultural and artistic events at main plaza to bring residents and visitors to the downtown area.
Programs: The conservancy sponsors various outdoor events at the main plaza designed to attract residents and visitors alike to the plaza and the surrounding downtown area. Recurring events during the year include a farmer's market, health fair, sa latino music festival, blue mondays, high noon, flamenco fridays and artist showcase.
