I am so grateful for all they do! They have helped animals that were in need time and again. I will never forget the little lamb that got a chance at life because of all you did! God bless you , I know all the animals in your care are beyond grateful.

this place is one of a kind and so legit!! they host an unforgettable music festival each year in the early fall, and provide a welcoming and enchanting atmosphere in which you will be immersed in nature + swell vibes all around. they continue to do outstanding things that range from rescuing animals in need of sanctuary and care, and making amazing all natural products like anti-tick spray. eternally grateful to know these people!
I have watched in awe and great joy as Mandy and Silas have worked over the years to build Magzalea from a small homestead haven into a much larger and even more welcome and beautiful sanctuary. It's hard to fathom how they have built such a place with just a few hands, truly the only explanation is they are driven by love for their misfits. If you are fortunate to visit you would absolutely understand. Magzalea is more than a hostile for the animals needing their care, it defines home in every sense imaginable. Mandy and Silas have worked the land with such care it is not only breathtakingly beautiful to visit, but it is everything you would hope to see for the animals so deserving of their care.
Magzalea Farm & Sanctuary is a haven for misfits: animals and people alike! I have yet to come across a more accepting and truly caring group of people who not only rescue high risk animals in need of immediate homes/care, but also cater to humanity as a whole. Amazing people doing for others what they cannot do for themselves; selflessly, day in and day out. I always contribute as much as I can knowing it is from my heart straight to their mission. Thank you for all you do!!
I was lucky enough to meet the fine folks at Magzalea many years ago and since then, I have never seen them stop working, building, loving, protecting, and advocating when it comes to the animals that call their sanctuary home. This organization is such a remarkable example of what happens when straight up kindness, devotion, and ingenuity come together in the same place at the same time. Grateful for the safe space they've created for creatures big and small, the fun and thoughtful ways they show up for the community, and the natural, homemade products they generate in support of their work. It all comes back to core message of doing the right thing, and we could ALL use more of that in our lives ❤️
Having been involved with animal rescue for 55 years I continue to be amazed at Mandy and Silas’ dedication to these animals. They are all in amazing condition and I loved seeing them in person. I recommend going to see them on visiting days. You’ll be amazed!!
Passion and compassion describes Many and Silas, the two in charge of the misfits (appropriate residents nickname) colony. We are often reminded of all of the cats, dogs, bunnies, etc. that are in need of homes, but what about the other animals? The larger ones? the unique ones? The outdoor-only ones? They pour their heart and soul into rescuing these animals that are in need of a safe place to live out their years. Regardless of how many years they have left (some not many) or how much love they need they are greeted with open arms. I have had the pleasure of getting to know the farm and animals over the years and have been able to see first hand residents come to the farm in distress and watch them heal and make a friend or two (or not, some just want to hang by themselves, happily though). I will be the first to admit, I don't trust many charities. I have seen misspending of funds and abuse of power regarding some charities that I thought were for a good cause. I am passionate about Magzalea because they are a 100% genuine and honest non profit that puts their passion, the animals, first. A good example of this is every animal at the sanctuary gets a name, and somehow (super power?) Mandy manages to remember every single one of them. That's the kind of relationship she has with all the furry friends that come their way. It's been exciting to see the growth and support over the years and for the life of me I don't know how they fiscally make ends meet. While the fundraiser events are fun the best part for me is to see all of the money being raised for the residents. This is one charity that you can rest assure all donations are going directly to the misfits and it shows first hand.
I have watched this sanctuary grow over the years. The time and dedication Mandy & Silas
have committed is beyond inspiring. The animals are family. They receive safe housing,
healthy feed, attentive vetting, and loads of love. The personal needs of each animal are recognized and accomodated. This is a safe haven. Each animal's personality is celebrated and meet with patience. They can be themselves. Being in New England weather can change in an instant. No matter
what Mother Nature has planned the animals still receive the care needed. Mandy & Silas strive
to provide community education through their farm tours. This helps people see first hand the result
of previous neglect and the actions being taken to undo it. I can confidently attest the money raised goes directly back to the animals. I have seen it first hand. Even when an animal is crossing they receive true dignity. The work done here is truly soul healing.
This family of misfits has their family at heart, and by family I mean their animals, whether they came young, old, in good or poor health, that makes no difference. Mandy and Silas do all in their power to ensure their children have a good life. They are out rain, shine, feet of snow and gail force winds to ensure their kids are protected. They throw fundraising events and get their friends and community involved, they host open houses and educate those around them on who has come from where and why. What they like what they do all day. I love hearing the stories of these animals, each with their own personality. Somehow Mandy manages to remember all of their names but, she is a mother after all! Every penny goes to enriching the lives of their animals. I have never seen more transparent group always sharing how much was raised and what it went to. They will always receive as much of my support as I can offer.
Had a wonderful time at the open house last year and look forward to going again this year!
Mandy and Silas take the time to explain who they are, what made them decide to provide a sanctuary to the animals, and are very lovely humans.
Please take the time to visit them, and learn about their non profit!
