My husband and I consider it an honor and a privilege to support this nonprofit financially. Kerry Tilford goes above and beyond every year to ensure that the Make-A-Wish children in this area are treated to a spectacular holiday party. Her efforts along with the numerous parents, volunteers and area businesses who also offer their support and donations should also be commended. It is truly special to be a part of such a special event.
I have been volunteering for this none profit for 4 years now. I am so impressed with how it's run and what it does for the kids with medical conditions. Making memories with theirs familys is what it all about. Will continue to be a part of this as long as I can.
I am proud to be part of this wonderful organization that does so much for the sick children in our area. There is nothing better than seeing a smile on a child's face or watching their eyes light up when they get to be kids without worry of their illness. Through my time spent with Magical Memories these are but a few of the touching moments I've been able to experience. You get far more than you give when you get involved with this amazing group!

As the mother of a cancer warrior, I cannot say how important the work Magical Memories is to families. This organization brings joy and love to kids going though so much. My son loves his t.shirt and feels special thanks to thief wonderful kindness. The experiences they offer help the whole family feel they have people on their side and this truly helps get through painful times.

It has been both a privilege and honor to serve as a volunteer for Magical Memories. I worked at the Janet Weis Children's Hospital in Danville and have taken care of many of the children who are members of MAGICAL Memories. I have seen these children when they are sick and I have watched their parents overcome all the trials and tribulations that come with being the hospital and having a child with special needs. As in inpatient nurse you rarely have an opportunity to see these special children when they are feeling well and able to be themselves. It is amazing to spend time with them outside of a hospital envrionment. To see them laughing, smiling, and interacting with other children. It is a blessing to provide these families with an opportunity to come out as a family, be a family, and spend time with other families that are just like them. Magical Memories is a way to give these children and their family a time to just let their children be children. I love watching through their eyes how they see this event. I can't wait for planning the next one!
I am truly honored to be part of Magical Moments annual holiday extravaganza this year. This event is so meaningful and special to all involved. Life is made up of memories we create let them be magical ones!!
My daughter has had numerous medical issues and surgeries. She was granted a Make Wish to Disney and we could not have more grateful. The magical memories party let her relive the memories and have a wonderful time around the holidays. She loves the crafts and games that are offered. This is a fabulous non-profit that gives some much to families of children that are so special. The memories from these events are unforgettable! !

Magical Memories is the picture of what a nonprofit organization should be. Kerry Tilford and all the people who volunteer their time have absolutely no agenda other than to bring happiness and smiles to children and their families who endure daily struggles with chronic and life threatening illnesses. They put in their all and are rewarded by providing a day for these kids that may be the highlight of their lives. They are treated to a wonderful dinner, entertainment, and all those little things that others may take for granted in a carnival like atmosphere that grows each year with the generosity of the people and businesses in the local counties of Pennsylvania. The smiles on the faces of these children are more than can be put into words. It keeps a special place in my heart and I hope to continue for many years as a sponsor and volunteer. My hope is that they continue to grow and to cover even more counties and put smiles on more children's faces. Is this not what a child's life should be all about??
Our little boy was granted his wish through Make A Wish in May of 2013, then we met Kerry shortly after that when he was in the hospital.. She told us all about Magical Memories and the Christmas Party she has for the kids.. It is great organization, and I am so glad that our experience didn't end with the wish.. They create one day where these children can forget all their troubles as soon as they step in the door, and have fun.. And that's what they need the most! I can't thank them enough for all they do for our son and the other children!
With havein 2 medical kids in the family it puts stress on us as a unit . The Magical Memories party is a fun family day away from the medical world . Thank you for having us .. This is a real special event !!
My daughter has had numerous medical issues, surgeries, and hospitalizations. She had her wish granted through Make A Wish. It is nice that this wasn't the end of this experience. Magical Memories has had a Christmas party that she has ben able to attend yearly. This is a real special event where there are activities, food, and entertainment. Aaron Kelly has even volunteered his time yearly to make a special appearance. This is well organized and keeps getting better every year. It is a nice event to help kids and families offset all the medical issues they face every year. I highly recommend and support this nonprofit!
my daughter and I had the priviledge to volunteer for the 5k walk run at knoebels it was a very special expenience for me seeing all the smiles on the kids faces because I lost two of my kids in two diffident car accidents and I love to help and make kids happy it is the best feeling that you can have!! I would volunteer ant time for this organization!!!!
I have had the priviledge to volunteer for this organization for the past 3 years. It has made a tremendous impact on my life to see the "magic" that occurs due to the amazingly huge hearts of people in our surrounding communities. Imagine being a child, parent, relative, or friend that has to endure a life full of doctor's appointments, surgeries, medications, and having to miss out on what most of us take for granted as "normal" childhood activities. Magical Memories takes a moment in time to freeze all that noise and chaos that these AMAZING kids have to put up with everyday of their lives, and give them something to smile about. I look forward to many more years of being a part of these memories, and am blessed to see these kiddos SMILE !!!!
My husband and I brought our 1st child into the world in 2009. He was born with special needs, and sadly passed away at 5 months old. When my friend, Kerry, the founder of Magical Memories, first started talking about starting a nonprofit, I thought it would be such a great way to help keep our son, Gavin's, memory alive by helping in any way that I can with this organization. I'm so glad that I did, because just seeing the smiles on children's faces at the HUGE Christmas party put tears in my eyes, thinking about our own son. The kids and parents both seem to enjoy the party. Lots of smiles and laughter. It's really all about the children and bringing them happiness, if even for just one day out of the year. I'm so glad I decided to be a part of Magical Memories.
I participated in a fundraiser with this group and what an amazing thing they do. These organizers work so hard to make special memories for kids with terminal and life threatening illnesses. Ive never seen as much passion in a other group :-)
This will be my second year volunteering with this organization. I feel privileged to be a part of this organization. Magical Memories is exactly what it says, it gives children with a life threating or terminal illness Magical Memories. It allows them to feel normal and be around other children with similar problems. Watching the smiles and hearing the laughter of these children at the yearly holiday party is worth more anything in the world!!! What an amazing nonprofit and I am honored to be part of such an organization!!!
I only learned of Magical Memories last year and had the privilege of attending the party to see what it was all about. I was looking for a charity to donate the proceeds of my son and grandson's memorial ride to. From the moment I walked in and seen the smiles on these children's faces I knew I wanted to be a part of it. The time and effort put into this party by volunteers was very heart touching. They definitely make magical memories for these families. These children get to enjoy the festivities and not think about there illness for a day. There was all types of food...entertainment...crafts. .photo shoots and balloon release at rhe end of rhe day to remember lost ones.
I have learned of Magical Memories this passed year. I have donated items to help this organization help so many children.
We have donated our time and talents each year to the children and families who attend the Magical Memories program with our puppets. What a blessing it has been for us! When we see children with life threatening illnesses smiling and having a great time, we know it is well worth our time and effort to be there and participate. Kerry gives many hours to prepare, collect donations, and advertise so that everyone who comes go away with something. This is a great Nonprofit that deserves to be recognized.
This organization has not only helped so many children with life threatening illnesses in our local community, it has also helped the community as a whole in bringing people together for a common cause. I'm blessed to be a part of this organization for almost three years now and I'm so excited to work with the volunteers and children and families served for such a wonderful and magical day!
I have been truly blessed to be part of this wonderful party over the past 3 years. Kerry Tilford does a wonderful job pulling it all together. Attending the party, to see the smiles shared by these children and their families are priceless. The daily struggles that these parents and children go through each day, makes this party so meaningful. I am looking forward to help again this year!
This Non Profit is a very nice and helpful for kids who have life threatening illness's . I am one of the wish kids and I look forward to the party every year not only because it on my birthday but I get to meet people who are just like me and meet some others who may not have Diabetes or Alports but I also went to Disney World as my wish and I was just so suprised what they did for me ... They truly are an amazing group!!
Magical Memories is an amazing non profit. They hold an annual holiday party for children in 6 counties of Pa who suffer with life threatening and terminal illnesses. The day is about magical moments for the children and forever memories for the families involved. The support and dedication we have from our local community to make this event possible is amazing. The joy that fills the room the day of this event and the smiles on the faces of these children and joy in the parents hearts is what makes this event worth while. From the boy scouts of troop 622 and cub scouts of pack 3622 to the volunteers, the committee and board to the people who entertain the children like Woody Wolfe, Aaron Kelly, The balloon men, Kingdom Kidz Puppets, to Blue Dog Photography and Kurt Lentz and his photo booth and those doing crafts and activites with the children as well as Santa, Mrs Claus, Dexter, Kozmo and the Fire departments involved- I thank each and every one of you for the lives you touch and the difference you make in the life of a child. This event is only possible because of caring and loving hearts and the difference you make is priceless.
My daughter is one of the wish kids who looks forward to this every year. They make her holiday one of the best experiences of the year. What they do for these kids is remarkable and very memorable. It's so well put together and all the activities and the volunteers that come out to make this the best day for them are amazing. All I can say is this is one of the best organizations out there!
There is nothing more special in this world than what these people do. They put smiles on the faces of terminally ill children. Keep up the great work!
There could not be a more fitting name for the Magical Memories Foundation. After all, that's what the key individuals of this organization strive for each year - to create magical memories for children with terminal illnesses. And THAT's exactly what they do!
From the moment these kids walk/drive/are carried through the door, the magical moments begin. Each child is made to feel as if he/she is the center of the world - even if just for a moment. The entertainment is extremely appropriate for these children and....entertaining. The decorations are nothing short of spectacular. The arts, crafts, and photo center is a nirvana (something these kids get to experience little of). Most of all, those coordinating this event pour their heart and soul into their work. You can feel it in their handshake or hug and see it in their eyes. It is one of the most heart warming events of the year - and my boy counts down the days between annual parties.
Simply stated: No words could express how grateful we are to have this experience each year. Kudos to ALL of those individuals who manage to pull this off every year.
I have been a volunteer for the last couple of years and all I can say is wow! This is a great organization making a huge impact on many of these children's lives. These children need love and support and this organization helps with that. I have never seen so many children happy before when they attend the Christmas party. It has really changed my life to be able to be a part of this organization. It's a great thing!
I have witnessed this organization both as a volunteer and as a parent to a child with a terminal illness. Magical Memories takes the holiday season and makes it a memorable one for these children who have gone through so much. The amount of coordination, organization and dedication that this group puts together is just beyond words. If you are looking for an organization to donate your time or finances too this is definitely a great one!
