To put this out here right now, I am not technically a donor, though my rent does help them. Help being an immensely strong word. As of the writing of this post, I have had issue after issue with the management of Magdala Foundation due to gross incompetence with building upkeep. My heating and air conditioning (which I am only allowed a single box unit in the living room, and cannot get another air conditioning box unit for the bedroom because it will break my lease) has fried the circuits of the fuse box it is connected to approximately four times in the year and a half I have lived here. The basement has had substantial issues with the ceiling, extensive water damage, and has nearly caved in at least once due to them refusing to fix another tennant's plumbing issues until it was too late. My toilet has been on the fritz for most of this year, and when they claimed to fix something it did not get fixed. Not to mention them deadnaming me for the entirety that I have lived here despite giving multiple corrections.
As someone who is looking to donate to something in the near future, may I suggest, instead, the following options:
Metro Trans Umbrella Group
St. Louis Community Foundation
