Mission: The Mackinac Horsemen’’s Association, founded in 1998, is dedicated to promoting and preserving the horse culture on Mackinac Island through educational equestrian programs, clinics, events for the public and supporting the Mackinac 4-H Horse Clubs horseback riding lesson program.
Programs: Education of the general public on horse safety and proper horsemanship. Access to the horses is provided via a lease program. There are currently 91 members. The association gave approx. 235 lessons over the summer of 2014.
