Mission: Our mission is to be a premier culture center for southern virginia, providing members and visitors with events and displays that are rich in educational,horticultural, historical, and artistic value.
Programs: Nada - eight interpretive stations are set up where a native american and an archaeologist explain and demonstrate different aspects of native american culture to help educate and dispel cultural myths of native americans. Approximately 370 school children attend annually.
horticultural and arboretum displays and seminars are conducted to educate and aquaint people of all ages with the beneficial qualities of plants, trees, and plant tissue. Approximately 1625 people attend annually.
I find maccallum more gardens snd museum a hidden treasure in chase city.the gardens are lovely and the museum has some amazing features.I also love the fact that they feature local, regional and national artist in the museum gallery!! A great way to dpend an afternoon. .their g ift shop is wonderful too!
