At the recent Transmarch 2008 event held at Dolores park Lyon-Martin Health Services provided free breast cancer exams. I elected to avail myself of this opportunity and was treated with the utmost respect and care by all of the staff members I encountered. After learning that I had recently moved to San Francisco only weeks before the doctor who performed the exam offered the services of Lyon-Martin for general practice care as well as monitoring and administration of hormone replacement therapy. My impression based on this experience is that Lyon-Martin's Health Services deserves to be recognized for the outstanding work they perform on behalf of the transgender community and undoubtedly the other communities they specialize in serving.
