Beautiful farm, incredible mission. A great place to volunteer and their CSA is wonderful. The best non profit in the entire city.

Lynchburg Grows is an incredible asset to the community! I have learned so much just volunteering a short time each week. The CSA provides quality organic produce at a great price. Thank you for all you do, Lynchburg Grows!!

This group of people are so positive, friendly, and caring! They really work hard to help everyone succeed! From teaching the community healthier ways to eat and introducing new items to their world, to giving a helping hand to coworkers, to making everyone who comes to the end of the road feel welcome and appreciated. I am proud to be a volunteer and CSA member! I brag all over town about it!

Great fresh produce from early spring to mid november each year. Our family looks forward to it AND it made us look for CSAs in the communities where our children now live. I have learned about composting in addition to ways to cook and store foods that were less familiar to me. Its a community treasure.

Having been volunteers at Lynchburg Grows (LG) for more than three years, my husband and I are there for so many reasons. I will share three: the opportunity to help and feed our community, many opportunities to learn, and we feel appreciated for what we do. The folks at LG are great to work for, and with. They are very knowledgeable, friendly, willing to share/teach and they trust us to carry on in the variety of duties available (planting, weeding, harvesting, composting and so much more). It's fun to be "down on the farm" and to get our hands dirty while we do good for others. The vegetables are so fresh and delicious. The flowers, herbs and roses are beautiful. Volunteers are encouraged to join us Monday thru Wednesdays. Come enjoy the beautiful mornings with us!!

This is my second year in Lynchburg Grows' CSA program and I love it. The produce is fresh and delicious. They also partner with local businesses, like Scratch Pasta, to offer with their CSA or to sell separately. I have a 1/2 share so I go every other week. I love seeing what they have each time I visit because a lot of the produce is something you wouldn't necessarily find in a conventional grocery store. Lynchburg Grows does a lot of good works in the community as well from their employment opportunities to their food donations. I hope I can continue to be a part of their CSA for years to come.

Lynchburg Grows is so good for the body and soul and it has been wonderful to see LG grow and thrive! The mission is clearly felt by CSA-ers and not only is the produce nourishing and delicious, it feels good to be in support of great people doing positive, impactful work for our community and economy. Broadly, they create access to fresh produce for those who may be in food deserts or lack exposure to fresh, local produce. On a microlevel, it has exposed me and my family, to veggies we love (and don’t see at a big grocer) and prompted me to learn both about the various producers they partner with, and new recipes with their produce. My involvement in LG makes opportunity to truly, with all 5 senses, express the far reaching values of supporting one’s local growers and producers to my children. Wednesday nights are always the best dinners!

Lynchburg Grows is one of those organizations that isn't just doing good in one way for our community, they are doing exponential good. Their programs support and employ citizens who might have difficulty finding work, they farm and cultivate land with sustainable practices and share their food with those in need (in multiple ways), they education our children on the importance of fresh food and farming practices, and they allow me to be a part of their mission by shopping with them. The staff are all heart set on the mission of the organization and it is not unusual to see active and past board members working on the farm. The fabric of our community has added vibrancy due to this organization's presence and we are ever so grateful!

I have greatly enjoyed my interactions with Lynchburg Grows over the past several years. Not only does my family benefit from their incredible CSA, but we see the fabulous work they are doing supporting special needs individuals, addressing food deserts, and promoting healthy and environmentally conscious eating across all economic spectrums.

This amazing organization has been growing and flourishing over several years. I remember when it was a broken down greenhouse in the middle of Lynchburg that no one wanted. An idea sparked about a greenhouse, volunteers came, and after many years and much hard work an amazing organization that serves our community. There are so many different types of people being served by this organization and SO many wonderful collaborations with many organizations. Soup kitchens, local restaurants, families are all benefiting by what is happening at Lynchburg Grows. This is truly an amazing nonprofit!

I joined the Lynchburg Grows CSA this past spring after frequenting the Farm Store during the fall and winter before. What a great opportunity! Lots of delicious, local, fresh produce each week to choose from. In addition, our family has had the opportunity to try some new items. But what I like most about Lynchburg Grows is how the organization gives back to the community both through member sponsorships and donations to local other non-profits. It is a great organization to support and be a part of and I highly recommend!
