After my initial diagnosis, LRF was the go to for me to gather information relating to my new disease. They provided me with the tools to help me navigate the health maze and continue to support me through critical information on new treatments as well as supporting patients.
The Lymphoma Research Foundation (LRF) is the nation’s largest lymphoma-focused health organization devoted to improving care through education and support services and improving outcomes through investment in the most promising lymphoma research. LRF’s mission is to eradicate lymphoma and serve all those impacted by this blood cancer.
Since my initial contact with LRF, we have donated to the organization as their support of patients through advocacy and research is what you want in an organization. Your donation will directly fund research on a large scale, unlike most organizations, and also help patients in need. I am also part of the Lymphoma Support Network, acting as a support to fellow patients who are going through treatment like I did. We help one another, as having Lymphoma can upset your apple cart both physically, mentally and financially.
Now that I am in Total Remission (meaning I have no active cancer), I am able to help more people by serving the organization on its board...to get the word out on this wonderful group of professionals, scientists and volunteers around the country.
