Amazing mission and experience visiting the sanctuary. I've been to multiple fundraising events and general events and the ability to connect to their mission through the animals is so unique and special.

Luvin Arms stands out as a sanctuary for farm animals of all sizes, offering loving forever homes during times of need. They care for animals rescued from factory farming, backyard farms, neglect, and other difficult situations, providing comfort and compassion.

The land is stunning, yet the weather can present daunting challenges that add to the daily workload. The dedicated staff shows remarkable strength and patience, tackling each day with a level of resilience that’s rare today. They equally prioritize the physical and emotional well-being of the animals. Stalls and pastures are kept clean, buildings are maintained, animals receive proper nourishment, and veterinary care is offered. Most importantly, every animal enjoys pets, cuddles, hugs, and an abundance of unconditional love. The animals flourish in this environment, and I deeply appreciate everyone at Luvin Arms.

Luvin Arms is a wonderous sanctuary. With Ahimsa at it's center, I've had the honor of volunteering there since it started. Peace and joy lead to transformation for the residents who are rescued farmed animals. Their lives and stories have reached the hearts of countless individuals. Their love reaches wildlife who also call the sanctuary home. Felix, featured in this photo, taught me to live with more patience and gratitude. I cannot think of more meaningful gifts than what I've learned from these beautiful beings.

Liberation for all,

Alaina

I became a vegetarian in 1986. In 2017 I met a little calf named Tito who had arrived at Luvin Arms where I was volunteering, with two other calves, Gideon and Murphy. All 3 had been deprived of the colostrum in their mother’s milk and sadly Gideon and Murphy didn’t survive after being hospitalized. I became educated about the effect dairy has on our animal friends and became vegan shortly after. I have Luvin Arms to thank for one for the best, most compassionate decisions I’ve ever made.
Since then, I continue to volunteer at this wonderful sanctuary and have become a board member recently. I’m so proud to be part of Luvin Arms and am committed to our mission of living a compassionate life. The welfare of our residents continues to be paramount for all of us. Very grateful for the friends I’ve made, both human and nonhuman.

The small but mighty team at Luvin Arms does incredible work to advance their mission. Through cold winters and hot summers, the strength they show day in and day out is truly inspiring!

We moved to Erie, Colorado in May of 2022 and I began volunteering at Luvin Arms six days later. The
environment at Luvin Arms is phenomenal and draws me each day to its’ site.

From the welcoming, encouraging and patient staff to the beautiful residents, I feel each day that I am making a difference. I am grateful for the opportunity to continue to learn how to care for the residents as well as their facilities. Fixing a barn door and weighing cows are things I never dreamed I would do.

As I spend time brushing the cows and goats, giving belly rubs to the pigs, or standing quietly with the sheep, I feel close to each of the residents. I am grateful to be able to spend my retirement learning about and providing care for all the residents at Luvin Arms.

My experience with Luvin Arms has been wonderful! I luv contributing to the mission of Luvin Arms. Helping in any way means creating a better life for the residents who have been lucky enough to find their way to the sanctuary. And, equally important is the power of education & outreach efforts to inform the community at large of various things such as the principle of ahimsa, facts about animal agriculture, and how non-human animals feel many of the same experiences as we do such as love - they love and need to be loved.

Recently we took in a turkey hen and she had been through a lot of stress. We quickly realized we did not have the expertise to help- despite how much we cared. I called Luvin Arms to see if they could help her. I am so thankful because they provided this turkey hen with a place to call her forever home. Luvin Arms is special because they treat each animal as a valuable creature. Thank you so much for being there for sweet Robin the turkey. We appreciate all the people who make up this organization.

I have volunteered at Luvin Arms and I can attest this is a wonderful sanctuary founded by amazing, caring and passionate people. The individuals that work and volunteer are so passionate about helping the animals and educating both young and old on the farm industry and what really happens to animals, on how to transition to a plant based diet with easy examples, cooking classes and easy substitutions. Luvin arms cares not only deeply about helping animals but truly on the community that supports it- changes happen by making connections with the animals and learning and listening- all things this wonderful sanctuary does every day both in person and virtually.

During the Spring quarantine with my students, I had a video class meeting every Wednesday morning, called "Morning Moos" (my classroom is cow themed). One morning I surprised my kids with a special guest... Luvin Arms Animal Sanctuary! We got to visit and learn about four cows at their farm! Their handler was so knowledgeable and patient with my students' questions! I couldn't help but smile big the whole time! My students will remember this forever!

My family and I LOVE Luvin' Arms. Every time we go, we learn something new about the animals and how they got there. Their stories are really something to think about, but even though they had a rough start, they are in VERY good hands now. They are well taken care of and you can tell that each and every one of the people there love being there and being around the animals. So do we! If you have never been there, take some time and go. It's an eye opener and you will love it.

We are so fortunate to have an organization like Luvin Arms Animal Sanctuary that rescues animals that have been abused or neglected. A visit to this non profit is eye opening. It's an education on how to care for all animals.

I am a monthly sponsor of a sheep named Teddy. Teddy was close to death when he came to Luvin Arms Animal Sanctuary. He had sever pneumonia and was coughing up blood. Then, in 2019 he broke his leg and had to have it amputated. Needless to say, it's been a long road to recovery for poor Teddy, who was most likely escaped a feedlot. I get quarterly updates on how Teddy is doing which I really appreciate. Though I live up in the mountains of Colorado and not close to Luvin Arms, their photos of the animals on Facebook make my day - each and every day!

I have been involved with Luvin Arms in various roles since 2015. All animal residents are treated with love and care for their individual needs and personalities. Basic needs are always provided for as well as enrichment activities. An example would be the recently constructed play structure for the goats.
Excellent programs such as cooking classes with chefs and book discussions with authors are offered on a regular basis for the wider community.
Those from outside the area can sign up for virtual tours and those within driving distance can sign up for onsite tours. Onsite tours, volunteer training and volunteer shifts are currently available with covid restrictions in place for the safety of all.

I visited Luvin Arms on Oct 3 to visit my sponsored animal and I was blown away. This sanctuary LOVES what they do and they love their animals. Luvin arms is very well-maintained and their volunteers are so attentive and educated. I could have talked to them for hours. I highly recommend supporting and/or visiting Luvin Arms Animal Sanctuary, if you have the means to.

Luvin Arms does such incredible work rescuing and caring for abused and neglected animals. Allowing the public to interact with and learn the stories of the animal residents in person, and now virtually during the pandemic, makes an immense impact on the way people view the treatment of animals. The times I have been able to visit Luvin Arms are some of my very favorite memories.
