Mission: Through the power of the holy spirit and in response to god's love as revealed in the gospel, the mission of lutheran social ministries of nj is to serve those who hurt, who are in need, or who have limited choices through an array of health care and social services in nj.
Programs: Lutheran social ministries of new jersey, inc. Provides a wide array of services including residential housing for seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, and a temporary shelter for children. The shelter for children is a 24-hour a day program servicing youth 13 to 17 years old. The youth are in crisis and can stay a maximum of 30 days. The two homes for developmentally disabled individuals can serve a total of 15 women with developmental delays.

Lutheran disaster response responds to those in need of long-term recovery after a natural disaster. "new visions" serves homeless men, women and children as a daytime safe-haven and provides meals, showers, clothing, laundry facilities, mail and other social service connections.
