Programs: Lutheran service corps (lsc) in omaha is now part of the national lutheran volunteer corps. Our mission and programs are united. Lsc partners with full-time volunteers, social justice organizations and financial supporters. In addition to working for justice, peace and health, volunteers live together in household community, and encourage simple, sustainable living. With lutheran volunteer corps, lsc is on a journey to an inclusive community and intentionally dismantles racism, heterosexism and other forms of institutional oppression. Nationally, lvc volunteers serve organizations that address a variety of human, environmental and societal needs including housing and homelessness; schools and education; legal services for elderly, immigrants and workers; health care; hospice; hiv/aids; human rights and refugee services; and environmental justice.
