Programs: Lutheran orphans' and old folks' home society of toledo, ohio (lutheran home at toledo) is a not-for-profit organization that provides residential care and supportive services for the elderly. As a faith-based provider of such service, lutheran home at toledo continues to honor its mission to extend its services to the vulnerable of our population, specifically elderly. We demonstrate behaviors reflecting our core values of faithfulness to christ, equality and justice, wholeness of life, integrity, quality of service, and stewardship of resources. (see sch o for additional info) lutheran orphans' and old folks' home society of toledo overview services provided through the skilled nursing care center include 24-hour skilled nursing care, intensive physical, occupational, and speech therapy, rehabilitation and restorative programming, specialized dietary programming, diabetic management, dementia care and psychological services, pastoral care, planned activities, laundry and housekeeping, hospice and respite care, in-house podiatry, vision and dental services, pharmacy services, social services, and resident advocate. Initially established in 1860, lutheran orphans' and old folks' home society of toledo (lutheran home at toledo) provided residential and supportive services for a total of 33,319 resident days during 2010. Lutheran home at toledo provided 9,232 in charitable care in 2010 and provided an additional 835,163 in community benefit. These dollars include charity care for those who cannot pay and below-cost reimbursement from medicaid.
