Mission: To raise awareness, increase patient and family support, and advocate for greater funding for lung cancer research, screening, and treatment. Our Vision: To foster action and advocacy to advance the care of lung cancer patients and families in Missouri and surrounding counties. Our Programs: We use our resources to provide information and support to those affected by lung cancer. We believe in the equal significance of prevention and treatment initiatives.
Target demographics: lung cancer patients, survivors, family, friends and medical professionals, all dedicated to providing information, education, resources, and hope about this devastating disease.
Direct beneficiaries per year: Over 2000 lung cancer patients & their caregivers
Geographic areas served: Missouri
Programs: Providing patient and caregiver support through patient information bags, in person and online support groups and topical speaking programs and events. Supporting Lung Nurse Navigators through quarterly information sharing meetings and development of best practices in lung cancer patient care. Connecting patients and caregivers to support resources in our region. Raising awareness and funding in support of institutions in the greater St. Louis region making a difference in lung cancer research. Leading awareness campaigns of lung cancer risks and early screening qualifications through social media, newsletters, health fairs, corporate health programs, radio and other PSAs, and our annual ”Blow Up Lung Cancer” campaign. Supporting and participating in local and national lung cancer advocacy efforts. Partnering with organizations to provide additional access to resources in the underserved communities. Raising funds to support early screening needs for those unable to pay.
