Programs: Anchorage & fairbanks love alaska | june 7-8, 2014 | luis & andrew palau two major evangelistic festivals in anchorage and fairbanks culminated a historic and wide-reaching initiative in alaska. We were able to saturate the entire state with the good news of jesus christ and lay the groundwork for evangelism and outreach for years to come. This large-scale evangelistic campaign and region-wide service initiative helped reach alaska with the gospel in powerful and tangible ways. Partner evangelists and dozens of churches shared the gospel message with thousands of people in juneau, sitka, ketchikan, wasilla, and kenai through youth rallies, action sports demonstrations, and smaller festivals. Luis and andrew led additional gatherings throughout the region for women, business leaders, the hispanic community, military, and prisoners. A one-hour, prime-time television broadcast of the anchorage festival helped spread christ's message of hope to the entire state. ouagadougou, burkina faso love burkina faso | december 15-21, 2014 | andrew palau love burkina faso marks palau's seventh festival in africa, where god's spirit moved in power and unity to draw tens of thousands of people to the capital city of ouagadougou. The festival was a collaborative effort between international evangelist andrew palau and 800 christian churches to foster hope in the african nation. The quality of ministry and the hospitality of the african people in the small nation were outstanding. The prayer and planning resulted in a fruitful harvest throughout the festival and in 28 outreach events! Originally scheduled to take place in november, the festival was rescheduled due to civil unrest. Festival events took place december 15-21, where dozens of volunteers served in eyeglass clinics and evangelistic events for business and government leaders, women, students, and prisoners. Children were treated with fun activities and lively gospel presentations by evangelist doug horley. Professional bmx and fmx athletes vic murphy and john andrus wowed the crowds with dizzying action sports demonstrations. Regional, west african artists lit up the stage with praise-filled music and worship-- including simon kologo, ella kinda, and emmanuel bouaffo. Andrew presented a clear evangelistic message each night and many responded to the invitation. Each of the 6,000 decision makers, as well as thousands more, received a free copy of the gospel of john, provided by ministry partner bibles for the world.
salta, argentina salta festival | april 20-26, 2014 | luis & andrew palau luis and andrew palau's inaugural visit to northwest argentina for an evangelistic campaign resulted in tens of thousands of people reached with the good news. Luis and andrew gathered churches together across the region, encouraging unity, training believers, and coordinating more than 20 evangelistic gatherings across four cities. The week-long campaign ended with a massive evangelistic festival on april 25 and 26, which drew packed crowds to salta, the capital city of salta province (population 619,000). Through longtime palau partner enlace television, the festival was broadcast to more than 48 countries via live streaming video and television. Luis met privately with the mayor of salta, the governor of the province, and the salta police force, among others. Luis also shared the gospel at a dinner for businesspersons and professionals as well as at a special women's tea, resulting in hundreds of documented decisions for jesus christ. Andrew traveled to the nearby cities of jujuy and tucum n for satellite festivals before joining luis in salta. He also shared the good news at a gathering in buenos aires, the capital of argentina, and encouraged other evangelists at a conference in the neighboring country of paraguay. Huge crowds came to enjoy family activities, popular gospel music performances, and a message of the good news. "the whole region was shaken up," andrew said of the area-wide initiative. "top leaders in city government came to christ. People came to christ out of the occult. The gospel reached across prison walls. We were part of unprecedented proclamation in the public squares and plazas of the north. "
