Mission: The mission of lucy's hearth is to provide comprehensive programs and services to homeless families in a safe, supportive environment that promotes family health and stability and increases self-sufficiency in order to achieve permanent affordable housing.
Programs: Lucy's hearth has one main program with three services:iap-intake and assessment program, formerly emergency shelter program, provides emergency apartment style shelter for 6 families. Families can reside in the iap program for up to 90 days. Tap- transition apartment program, provides 9 families with an efficiency for up to 24 monthsthp- transitional apartment program, provides four families with off-site apartment for up to 24 months. Major accomplishments:moved all administrative offices, donation center and emergency shelter operations from our leased facility at 913 west main rd to our newly renovated property at 19 valley road in middletown. Increased number of families served on site from 10 to 16. Iap - we served 32 families including 58 children in the iap program. Average length of stay for clients existing was 83 days < 3 months. 94% (67 of 71 participants) exited to permanent or transitional housing. 2 veteran families served. Tap - tap program opened on october 18, 2018. We served 12 families including 23 children in the tap program. Average length of stay for clients exiting was 98 days or approximately 3. 5 months. 100% (13 of 13 participants) exited to permanent or transitional housing. Thp - six families including 15 children were served. Out of the six families served: 2 remained clean and sober and engaged in long term recovery activities, 5 obtained part-time or full-time employment. 1 secured permanent affordable housing.
