Lowcountry Raptors and Ms. Lila have been an essential partner in my 6th grade Science curriculum. My students study animal adaptations and compare and contrast owls and sea turtles. When Ms. Lila brings the birds to my school, the kids are SO excited to see these amazing creatures in person and she has such a wealth of knowledge to share with them. Every year she amazes us with cool facts and her passion for these birds.

Low Country Raptors is a wonderful organization the educates the public about raptors at no charge and takes care of beautiful raptors that have experienced injuries and can't be released for their own safety. They are very active in low country!

I have been in this "LowCountry Raptors" class at 3 different location. I always learn something else. I love Lila and the closeness she has with the Raptors. She is an amazing teacher and the last one I went to was at the Library with a room full of your kids. They behaved beautifully because they were engaged. She is GREAT!

They come to OLLI classes (students 55+ yrs old). I learned so much about turkey vultures that I now know they are friends. I have gone to 3 classes and learn new things each time. There is always a little owl there, too. LOVE the presentations.

Lowcountry Raptors has presented extensive education programs for our high school students with audiences of 50 or more at a time. All students get a good look at the birds and learn all about them. This opportunity is a lifetime experience for many of our students.

I have been following Lowcountry Raptors since they arrived here from Wichita Falls, TX. I thought I had a basic understanding of the avian. I realized quickly how much I did not know as each visit to the Education Booth gives me more information, more facts, more vital impacts these birds of prey have on the entire world, in every aspect. Each visit is a learning experience and each species provides the community with an up close & personal education that you simply will not find with any other type of education. The knowledge of the Raptor volunteers is staggering, entertaining, informative and most of all educational. Each visit, I walk away shaking my head in astonishment at the facts I have just absorbed. I would give 10 stars if I could! Expand your knowledge, grow your love of the raptor and be amazed at all there is to learn. Whenever I am looking for the booth, I look for the crowds.

One of the Saturday highlights is visiting Lowcountry Raptors booth at Port Royal Farmers Market. The volunteers are exceptionally knowledgable and where else on earth can you get so close to a Raptor!?! It is exciting, thrilling and educational.

Lowcountry Raptors brought some of their birds to a Road Scholar class I was attending a while ago. It was an amazing experience, and I applaud their dedication to bringing awareness to not just the 'fun' species, but to teaching people about the importance of birds such as Turkey Vultures.

Lilla and the raptors in her care were first introduced to me when she came to the preschool where I taught. She continued to bring the birds back and with each visit the children's knowledge and concern for the raptors grew.
I watch her at the Farmers Market each Saturday bringing the birds to teach the adults and children who stop by her booth about how we can protect the habitat of these birds.
These birds, Lilla and the volunteers are bringing an awareness of our need as humans to protect all the creatures on our planet. Thank you. Kristy Wood

Lowcountry Raptors brought their beautiful birds to Marriott's Grande Ocean Resort where they gave an engaging and informative presentation. Afterwards they were so very patient and kind to my son with autism who had tons of questions and wanted to take close up pictures. It was truly one of the highlights of his vacation. Thank you!

I visited the Morris Foundation today and thoroughly enjoyed Lila Arnold's riveting talk about these amazing raptors. The audience was completely enthralled by the stories of how these beautiful birds were rescued, along with amazing facts about them. It was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. It was very apparent that Ms. Arnold is committed to educating the public about these birds. Thank you! - Leslie Natoli, Bluffton, SC

This is a great organization not only for their educational programs, but for their live saving work with raptors that are injured an unable to be returned to the wild. They provide a safe living environment for these raptors that are blind or permanently injured and socialize them for use in these great educational programs.

I'm a supporter of Low Country Raptors through donations. I have experienced the presentations through pictures & posts since I live a distance away. I truly believe that when children & even adults interact with wildlife, especially those with special needs they learn compassion & respect.

We attended a special event at our local library presented by Lowcountry Raptors. My children LOVED it. My son who has a sensory processing disorder sat the ENTIRE TIME!!! Listening and Learning. Whenever we go back to the library he will ask when the owls are coming back.
