Causes: Children & Youth, Youth Development Programs
Mission: Loveworks leadership, inc. Is an organization that helps young people discover their potential and live into their dreams. We have created leadership and community programs that will impact Norman, Oklahoma City, and beyond. Through our afterschool programs, leadership training, community initiatives, and summer leadership experiences we believe we can see lives transformed.
Programs: Afterschool leadership:the vision of loveworks leadership, inc. Is to develop leaders one child at a time. We do this through leadership and character development, experiential learning, and community impact projects. By providing a safe environment, positive role models, and activities focused towards character development, we are developing students who can achieve their life potential and leave a positive contribution with our community. This program is currently offered for students in Norman and the Western Heights area of OKC.
Summer leadership: this unforgettable and powerful 4-day experience will inspire students to discover their potential through hands-on learning projects tailored toward interest groups. Each student participates in a concept area of their choosing, ranging from culinary to music to fashion to technology. Local community professionals lead students through activities that allow them to learn the art and skill associated with these areas of interest. The camp experience culminates in completing real-life projects that give the students a tangible understanding of potential career paths. Leadership camp: completed 5th-8th grade students during the month of june.
leadership classes:hosted during school hours, in these classes students engage in interactive and remarkable leadership lessons that teach the fundamentals of being a leader and building character. Students learn from different elements such as media, music, and habitudes curriculum developed by growing leaders. Students have the opportunity to express their individual interests through creative outlets that make the classes and lessons memorable and fun! Elementary school leadership classes: 5th grade students. Middle school leadership classes: 6th-8th grade students in partnership at on-site school locations.
