I am a volunteer and board member that helps to maintain the funding to sustain Loved Twice and fulfill it's mission to clothe newborns-in-need with quality recycled baby clothing for the first year of life. Loved Twice successfully continues to clothe more babies every year in and around the Bay Area. Loved Twice has help divert nearly 100,000 pounds of baby clothing from our landfills. I am so lucky to volunteer for the amazing non-profit that Lisa has built from the ground up!
Three years ago, I was a new mother and like every new mother I knew, I was totally overwhelmed. But I also had resources and support. I can't even imagine how difficult it is for an overwhelmed new mother to have to decide between formula or clothes or between clothes or diapers. Loved Twice does more than provide clothes, it provides choices. Furthermore, by providing clothes for the first year of life, Loved Twice gives an overwhelmed new mother the most precious resource of all; time. When a new mother gets a box of clothes, she can better spend her time and energy on providing a stable life for her newborn and using her money to buy food and other necessities for her child. Loved Twice gives mothers and their children hope and a chance to make better lives for themselves. It's a mom-to-mom solution that is simple and loving. It helps the most vulnerable among us- our babies. Please support Loved Twice.
Loved Twice helps mothers with new babies help their babies start life with dignity and care. I am proud to be a board member of an organization that pursues such a wonderfully caring cause.
Loved Twice provides essential garments to clothe a newborn from birth to one year of age. While helping families with these basic necessities, they are also keeping pounds upon pounds of reuseable clothing out of landfills. Anyone who has had a child knows how much clothing can cost and how fast babies can outgrow them - well before these clothes look worn. Please consider helping out by hosting a baby clothing drive, donating money, donating clothes or volunteering. For more information, please visit www.lovedtwice.org
Since 2005, Loved Twice has clothed 5,759 newborns, helping vulnerable families meet their basic needs while keeping over 57,000 pounds of clothing out of landfills. That's 431,395 essential garments recycled into underserved communities with an estimated retail value of $1,295,775! The St. Francis Center in Redwood City, CA is very grateful to have received a generous donation from Loved Twice today! Our low-income clients "shop" for clothing from our complimentary "store" each month. Each family receives two bags of clothing along with two bags of food. Our supplies were fairly non-existent today in the infant department, so the timing of this generous donation could not have been more perfect! Thank you so much for the great work you do! Sue Mitchell
Awesome organization -- super inspiring! Thank you for doing this work! You've made it amazingly easy for people to donate and I know all the mothers' that are recipients are forever grateful!
fantastic way to deliver still-good baby clothes and toys to deserving families...so often your baby grows so fast that clothes are worn just once or twice - I love having a way to get them to new mothers who are struggling to provide even the basics. such a great idea, and so lovingly executed - the packages for the new moms are cute and personal.
