I follow Love Your Feral Felines online and have been so impressed with their work helping cats in need. They go above and beyond to help desperate cats.
Love this organization. We have adopted three cats from LYFF. THEY COME OUT AND VISIT YOU AND BRING THE CAT WHEN THEY ARE READY TO BE ADOPTED. Such a blessing to save these cats.
LYFF’s barn cat program is unique in San Diego! They pull feral and semi-feral (hard to adopt) cats from shelters and match them with people who can benefit from having an outdoor, working cat to keep rodents away. They save so many lives, and give cats that would otherwise be stuck in the shelter a second chance at life.
They have helped cats all the way from Louisiana during hurricanes. Have done more than local shelters in Louisiana!
We have adopted a total of 5 barn cats from them. They give these little souls a chance at a descent life. They do great work!
I have been donating custom made cat baskets for LYFF for many years now. This all volunteer based group of the most amazing humans care so deeply about the kittens, kitties and senior cats that they work with on a daily basis. The passion and care they exhibit with each and every animal in their care. Anytime they need a donation, I will always be there for them. They are the best in the State.
Grateful to LYFF for saving my Winston (formerly Cri-kee) from being euthanized for what was thought to be a broken leg. Under their care, Winston was treated and nursed back to health from a dislocated leg. I was smitten from when he was first featured on IG. Their unwavering work and compassion has saved so many like Winston. He is now a thriving happy boy who enjoys backyard walkies, lap time and playing with his older brother.
LYFF does amazing work helping the cats in our communities. Not only do they rescue and place socialized cats like the two we have adopted, they also try to place less socialized cats in barn homes where they can have shelter and safety. Then their trap, neuter, return (TNR) program helps control the feral populations so there are fewer kitties running wild and at risk. Our female calico (Iskierka) was sick and rescued from a kill shelter and nursed back to health before we adopted her. Our male brown tabby (Gil) was orphaned and bottle raised by LYFF volunteers. We only have these sweethearts in our families due to the amazing work of Love Your Feral Felines!
Amazing rescue! They really go above and beyond to make sure each cat in their care gets an amazing forever home. :)
I adopted My Two Kitties Pawesome and Gouda from Love Your Feral Felines. They rescued them as neonatal kittens, and took care of them bottle babies. I was able to adopt them and they have been a wonderful addition to my home.
We’ve now raised/fostered 50 kittens for LYFF. The care and dedication of this organization and its volunteers is second to none. They’ve helped us rehab kittens that were on death’s doorstep and turn them into thriving cats ready for adoption. They are very meticulous about the adoption process and go above and beyond to ensure their cats go to loving forever homes.
LYFF rescued a 10 year old cat, got him medical care, fostered him and finally helped him find me. Finn is the most wonderful and affectionate cat I have ever shared a home with. LYFF was caring and efficient as they took us both through the adoption process. They were diligent in insuring that this was a good fit for us both. LYFF
is the epitome of a great organization enhancing the lives of the animals they love and the people they serve.
I’m a volunteer with LYFF and I’m impressed and amazed every day at how much wonderful work this dedicated and caring group of people can accomplish to save the lives of hundreds of cats every year.
I have volunteered for this wonderful organization for just about 3.5 years. They are top notch! They have helped so many cats and kittens in need.
I started volunteering with Love Your Feral Felines in 2017 and it has been my home ever since. This non-profit is a group of incredible volunteers that strive to make a positive impact in the community. Proud to be part of this wonderful organization.
I have volunteered at LYFF for over two years and it had allowed me to see firsthand the amazing work they do to save the lives of cats and kittens and match them with their perfect forever homes.
The team is truly dedicated, going above and beyond to provide the highest quality care for each animal. From ensuring that every cat receives the medical attention they need to creating a nurturing environment while they await adoption, LYFF consistently prioritizes the well-being of every rescue. They also take the time to get to know both the animals and the potential adopters, ensuring that every match is thoughtful and the best fit for all involved. The love and commitment they show in their mission is truly inspiring, and I’m proud to be part of such a compassionate and impactful organization.
I have adopted 3 cats from this organization. It’s a class act! The facility is very clean and they have strict protocols to keep cats safe and healthy. You can even go visit on the weekends for “cuddle hour” - they are terrific!
They do so much for the cat community with their low cost spay/neuter clinics, their adoption centers at pet stores, their barn cat program. I can’t say enough good things about this organization!
We have 2 babies that we adopted through Lyff. They are absolute angels and Lyff is a wonderful organization.
Over the last 5 years, LYFF has assisted me in TNRing over 11 stray and wandering cats, helping to put an end the sad cycle of unwanted being born and uncared for. 4 of my “Resident” Now semi feral cats that I continue to care for can live out their lives without the endless fighting, looking for food and diseases that come from unaltered cats. I’m forever grateful!
LYFF is a wonderful organization that helps a lot of lives. I had an opportunity to sponsor a few kittens and LYFF had been very helpful and connected me with the fosters. They gave me updates about the kittens from the start till they got adopted. They made me feel I'm a part of the rescue and this contribution. Their staff are wonderful and kind. I really enjoy supporting them and will continue to.
LYFF is a wonderful organization. With over 100 incredible volunteers, LYFF is able to impact thousands of lives every year. Voted top charity in our County for the past 5 years. We look forward to growing and saving more lives.
Best adoption setup I've ever seen. The online listings provide good detail about the cats' personalities and temperament, so you show up with an idea of which ones you might like. But keep an open mind: you meet your candidate, and many others, in a big playroom with no cages.
We showed up with one cat in mind (thanks to the excellent description), and that's the one who came home with us. But we had plenty of opportunity to see other cats and talk to the staff (including our cat's fosterer) to learn more about their personalities. We brought home a beauty who's a great fit for our household.
I have been a donor to LYFF for a number of years - they have done phenomenal work for not only the local communities, but also with working with neighboring counties and live up to their motto and mission in helping cats and kittens get a second chance at life. They do this with countless hours contributed by volunteers and donations - to date with no paid staff, to support their programs. I recently joined as a volunteer and the experience is truly rewarding! Please consider donating some time and/or funds to this worthy organization - you truly do make a difference!
Have known this of this group since the fall of 2014. The work they do is awesome. They are the ones that taught me about TNR & it's been a blessing. Their barn cat program is great. Giving real feral cats & some fake ferals a place to live in peace, along with learning to trust again even if from a distance. The fake ferals are cats the Shelters deem unsalable, but are just too scare to show their soft side. Love seeing the updates of such cats. Love Your Feral Felines cats a second chance at finding love & a fur ever home. Something they wouldn't have had otherwise. Yes there have been some losses along they way but those fur babies felt loved even if just a short time before crossing the Rainbow Bridge
I have been volunteering at LYFF since the opening of the Vista Center in June.
It has been a deeply rewarding experience on so many levels, and I feel blessed to have found this volunteer opportunity.
There is such a need for volunteers to help care for and love on all these cats/kittens until they find their fur-ever homes. You will never regret the time spent here. It's impossible not to be excited to come in for your shift to all these adorable cats/kittens who desperately need your love and support. Everyday is a new adventure as you get to know all them all and get your daily dose of love from them! Then, the happiest of days comes when you see that they have been adopted and you know that you have played a small part in that process.
In addition, the staff of Lyff are amazing! You won't find a more dedicated group of people who give so selflessly to make sure this rescue/adoption center is a success. They work tirelessly, everyday, to see that no cats/kittens are euthanized, that we control the kitten population through their affordable spay and neuter programs, and that all these cats/kittens are safe and well cared for until they find those fur-ever homes they so deserve.
I am so proud to say that I am affiliated with this organization and you will be too, I promise! Volunteer now... you won't regret it!
And it's no surprise to me that they just won Best Charity, 2 years in a row now!
I can not begin to thank “Love Your Feral Felines” and all they do for so many communities!
Respected, transparent, compassionate, hard working! Utmost care of cats and their well being. From rescuing, vetting, medical, and finding great homes to also helping to reduce the suffering of cats by advocating and supporting responsible TNR(trap neuter return) programs.
They have set the standard high for any animal welfare organization!
I foster kittens and do not have a lot of extra cash. For my own newly adopted kittens, I needed a cheaper option so I didn’t break the bank. I was really impressed with the prices and the service! They emailed back within a couple of days and I got my kitties fixed within the next few days! Drop off and pick up was fast and easy, and the people were all very nice. Great work!
I have been volunteering with LYFF for a year and a half, have seen the ins and outs everything they do for the kitty community and I couldn’t be more proud. They work tirelessly and passionately to help every cat they can, from orphaned kittens who need fostering in their adoption program, to feral kitties who just want a chance at life through their barn cat program. They have a team of dedicated volunteers who have a genuine passion for saving lives and that shines through clearly every day in both their selfless actions and their undeniable stats. Christine created an amazingly beautiful organization that I believe sets the bar for other non profits to follow. If every town had a LYFF, the feline world would benefit exponentially but for now, I’m just thankful that LYFF exists here in San Diego and that I can play a small role in helping with their mission.
Tireless workers who give their all twenty-four hours a day. The head of the program Christine and the head of the kitten program Melissa are work horses as are most of their volunteers. Always in need of drivers Fosters and donations. Try and stick with donating, driving or setting up for adoption events unless you want to end up getting suckered with cute little Foster Fails like these little rags! :)
I began as a donor to this non profit because having trapped/adopted two strays female was pregnant and gave her a safe space to have her kittens and found them homes. I realized how many lovable "feral" cats are being euthanized and realized their excellent work they do. I now have become a volunteer to transport cats in their barn cat program with lovely caring people. Thanks Christine and other LYFF memebers.
I contacted Love Your Feral Felines because we were interested in getting some barn cats for our property.
They assisted us every step of the way and answered all our questions. You can tell how much they care for all these cats. They are a wonderful rescue filled with absolutely amazing volunteers
Feral felines is awesome!!! My cat was completely feral and the ladies of feral feline helped me learn how to tame him. He is now a little love bug who keeps every rodent away from my home. He also got another chance at life ans is a part of our family now!
I have three LYFF kittens and we just love them. We also fostered for LYFF for over two years. Thank you Christine and LYFF for all the happy memories and our beloved pets.
LYFF is the most incredible rescue! I have seen these volunteers save thousands of lives, never shying away from tough medical cases. LYFF loves, cares about and brings hope to every single kitten and cat they encounter. They stop at nothing to insure their cats have healthy, amazing lives with dedicated forever families. I have never seen another rescue so devoted to animal welfare. LYFF is creating a brighter future for underaged, neglected cats & kittens as well as ferals.
I had never owned a cat before I adopted some barn cats from LYFF and they have become a valued resource for many of my neighbors and friends who now use barn cats!
This is a wonderful organization that goes above and beyond to save cats and kittens. They are loving, kind, and give cats and kittens a chance at life, that they may not get if it wasn’t for LYFF.
LYFF is a rescue that you know comes with quality. They vet their adopters to the highest standard and always go above and beyond for their felines. LYFF makes the impossible of rescue possible, sometimes taking in the most difficult and heart wrenching cases and turning them into some of the best, unique success stories. I will always recommend them and I am grateful to be a volunteer!
LYFF is doing everything they can to fill the gaps that more well-known rescues are not covering in SD County. They aim to provide homes for truly at-risk cats and kittens in need of imminent saviors from euthanization. The founder lives with tireless pursuit to carry out this nonprofit's mission and spread outreach. I have met many professionals and volunteers in animal welfare; the ambition of the LYFF leaders and their personable connection with the community are unique. I see a lot of potential in this nonprofit and am looking forward to seeing where they will be in a few years. I want to donate my time in the most valuable way possible, and I am grateful to be a part of their life-saving team.
I have worked with Christine, founder of Love Your Feral Felines, the past 4 years. I am a volunteer at a local shelter and have a non-profit, Critical Care Cat Rescue. I am in position to see & work with cats at risk for euthanasia for behavioral, medical and senior care conditions. Over the years, I have reached out to LYFF on behalf of cats in every category that places them at risk. The response is immediate and tireless. Christine works to match cats with safe, caring homes where they will thrive. I have personally transported many LYFF kitties to homes and met the high quality adopters and foster care providers Christine has specially matched to meet the needs of the individual cats. From tiny abused kittens to senior kitties who have time ahead of them to receive love, Christine and LYFF go above and beyond to give cats a second chance. It is an honor to work alongside this Outstanding Rescue!
I am passionate about cats and their welfare, especially the less fortunate ferals who always need help and care. Feral Felines is a wonderfully loving and compassionate group and I encourage everyone to support them.
Love Your Feral Felines is Awesome! They have done so much for our community and are true leaders when it comes to Saving, Educating and Making a Difference in the Feral Cat Population. Thank you LYFF for doing all that you do! Michele
They help beyond words! Feral cats, friendly cats, surrendered cats, other rescues cats. Whatever it is, if it involves a kitty, they are helping. Beyond incredible rescue organization!
I met the founder Christine at an event when I was passing through. She ended up being such a great support as we both had our soul mate kitties dealing with cancer. A few months later when I was ready to add to my family, I adopted two boys who are brothers and I am so I love with them. LYFF contributes so much to my community and it shows through their hard work and dedication. I tell as many people as I can to adopt or help because I believe in them so much. LYFF is just the best!
LYFF Rescue is a fantastic nonprofit ! I have been a volunteer for over a year now and see all the fine work being done! LYFF rescues cats and kittiens and gives them a second chance at a happy life! When others are not there to save our kittens LYFF is!!! All donations go directly toward the care of the kittens. As a foster, I provide a loving home for a rescue cat or kitten until they find their forever home.
LYFF has many programs such as low cost spay and neuter clinics, adoption events, and fund raising events to name a few! I am very proud to be a LYFF volunteer and think it deserves recognition for all the work they do in our community!!!
I love this group of people and especially Christine! They work so hard to save so many kitty lives and help the humans in the process. I love my feral kitties who aren't so feral anymore
