Our unique vision in Sacramento it to see The Hands of 52 Congregations with ALL the Resources to Assist Sacramento’s Most in Need.
Results: Celebrating 20 years of service in 1990 our now 5 year-old Church Of The Week program has grown from just 2 churches to over 23 in 2010. In 2009 we served over 875 families with 1,800 volunteers and over 7,000 volunteer hours.
Target demographics: Love INC Sacramento works with congregations to serve Sacramento’s most in need. We mobilize churches and congregation members to help meet pre-screened requests. We provide furniture, houseware, food, clothing, to families and individuals throughout the region.

Programs: Our unique Church of the Week program had grown to include 23 churches in 2010 and aims to have a church serving EVERY WEEK. We accept requests daily and qualify them in our 'Clearing House' phone center. Our warehouse provides numerous ministry opportunities from sorting clothing and housewares to repairing refrigerators or building bunk beds.

A great organization, unique in that it's service model that first qualifies recipients needs and then works with congregation member volunteers to get those needs meet. Recipients are almost always grateful for the services they receive. Service teams rarely encounter the sense of 'entitlement' that some other social service organizations inadvertently instill, and those who provide the service are often as grateful for the opportunity as those who were served.
