Worse program to go to if you are looking for help. She boasts that she helps homeless families yet when it comes down to it all she cares about is a payday. We were evicted from the first house she put me in and had to spend two days with no electricity or gas because she refused to pay the bill for three months and blamed the residents, this was after social services saw a squirrel wildly running through the house, mice running around the house and roaches crawling all over the walls. This woman is racist towards white people, she refuses to fix the toilet in my last home and told the residents that THEY had to fix it despite the toilet not working and leaking down into the kitchen below, boasts as a sober living yet she likes to go out and drink with her residents and allows others to get aggressively, black out drunk despite the fact that their kids are running around unsupervised and they’re unresponsive in their beds by curfew half the time. She received a check from Firefly to cover a residents rent and tried to use it for her own personal bank account and got mad when it was written out to the actual business because her business account was negative $500 so rent money was used to zero out her balance. She kicked my kids and I out today and moved a man in instead who could pay despite telling us the night before that he’s not safe to have in the house with kids and women, and because I stood up to her she chose to try and punch out my window when I locked my car door and refused to speak to her because I was trying to leave. She also broke my car door handle in the process of trying to get to me. This all after she agreed to letting me stay until the 21st when I move out of state. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE ACTUALLY LOOKING TO GET ON YOUR FEET. She’s a manipulative woman who will claim to have a big heart but she’s not. She will do whatever it takes to benefit off the broken people of Indianapolis
This place is horrific. The owner Sherri desperately needs to be investigated by the state. This program is to help parents get back on their feet without being separated from their children while receiving help for addiction. While she is allowing at least one sexual offender to live under the same roof as children and the parents have no choice but to stay in fear of loosing their children to the state for being homeless. The way she treats her residents is despicable and she should be ashamed of herself for treating those who trust her for help like she does. She doesn’t enforce sobriety and her business practices should also be looked into by the IRS. Someone desperately needs to step in and protect those in her program because it’s only a matter of time before someone dies on her watch.
