Horrible organization! They connected me with a woman who trespassed on my street and stole my cat, and when the woman changed her mind about meeting me, the President of Lost Pet Services told her to ignore me and that she would bet I have no proof of ownership (the woman who stole my cat sent me screenshots of this conversation). The President also claimed that she doubted I had ever taken my cat to the vet for the skin allergies she was experiencing. Personally having these receipts and proof of ownership, I was insulted and hurt, not to mention upset that she was actively prohibiting me from getting my cat.
I then contacted the President to find out why she defamed me and never reached out about my proof of ownership, and she lied to say she had never said those things until I told her I had the screenshots. She continued to be abusive on the phone. When I told her all I wanted at this point was for her to promise not to lie about pet owners in the future and to not condone stealing, she refused. I'm not sure if she was discriminating against me because of my age (I sound younger than I am on the phone), but I wouldn't be surprised. I'm sure if she sees this, she will claim I'm making this up, but I have receipts, photos, screenshots, and dates to confirm all of this.
It's a shame that an organization that claims to be helping has such an ugly, cruel side. I still have yet to have my cat returned. I'm very concerned that other pet owners have had their pets stolen and then prohibited from being reunited with them by this organization. If you truly want to help pets and animals in the community, donate to the Manatee County Humane Society, NOT this operation!
Lost Pet Services Inc. is the stellar product of Patty Dillon Giarrusso's development of a well-planned business model, that utilizes an excellent format, delivers expedient service and efficient facilitation, in the realm of reuniting lost/found animals in Manatee Co., FL and beyond. Without this well-known internet venue, thousands of animals and owners would not experience the joy of reunification, and pets would suffer and remain lost forever. The Foundation also handles a plethora of animal issues; dispatching volunteers to scan for microchips, removing deceased animal carcasses from the roads, absorbing the cost of Vet care for injured animals, and everything in between. My involvement with this group is on a voluntary basis, and I can attest to their professionalism and dedication to the cause. "Carry on for Wayward Animals". This wonderful group works tirelessly and is responsible for many successful reunions. My friends did was lost during Ian and within a few hours of posting with this group he was found safe with a someone in the neighborhood that took him in during the storm. I can’t say enough about this wonderful group of volunteers.
