I believe in the mission and vision LAYN was built upon, I can say that the work they do to end homeless and helping and aiding our younger youth is needed during these times.. God bless to all the people that work here.
Review from Guidestar
Tart Uncorked benefiting LAYN was a charity event hosted by Ellen and the Farmer's Daughter Hotel raising over $26K. I would like to pay tribute to this great organization servicing homeless children throughout the greater Los Angeles area. Children are our future. I believe it is society's responsibility to care for the well being of children who are underprivileged and/or without shelter. Thousands of abused and neglected children sleep on the streets of Los Angeles. LAYN has made a wonderful impact on many children's lives giving them a fair shot at life through the gracious support of the community. The different avenues of support include, but are not limited to, financial donations, mentor programs, tutoring, and charity events.

Hello, my name is Karen and I was a resident at LAYN's TLP program. LAYN deserves to be supported because it provides stability and a positive environment to homeless such as my self. Being in the program I was able to focus on my college studies and work. The program Manager Mr. Frank McCalpin and Case worker Cat were great support network and I thank them for many things. This program was my safe haven. I hope that donors may find it in their heart to help LAYN so that they can keep the TLP up and running!
LAYN is a special place that does essential work on behalf of homeless and foster youth. What the staff does every day is amazing.
I have known LAYN for many years. It is an important organization as it is one of the only organizations in Hollywood that serves the 12-17 year old population. The staff and administration are fantastic and they work very hard to provide a safe and supportive environment for these youth. In fact, recognizing the educational deficiencies and difficulties that many of these youth experience, LAYN recently started a school in partnership with LAUSD that would specifically serve these youth. The school has been very successful to date. It is a great organization.
I whole heartedly support this organization. They have helped some of my students who were homeless and on the street. I only wish I could help them financially.
LAYN is an incredible organization, and it's the only long-term housing option in Los Angeles for abused, neglected and runaway youth -- providing kids with more than just food and a roof over their heads. LAYN gives LA's homeless youth a warm, nurturing environment, offering rehabilitative services to kids regardless of race, ethnicity, religious affiliation or sexual orientation. I worked as a fundraiser for LAYN for years, and I continue to support their fantastic work!
