My favorite part of Los Angeles Habilitation House is donating! Why? Because each time I donate, I freely say yes to supporting a cause that helps address peoples true needs. Not just physically, but spiritually too! This is what is lacking in current US Government programs to help our outstanding Veterans. Not because the Government isn't trying hard enough, they do. Instead because this is something a government can't provide. So I gladly donate to LAHH! I've personally witnessed the change they have made. And I feel great doing so!

I have had the great fortune to work as one of the employers of LAHH services and the organization that I workfor is also a non-profit and our client base has been used to pick several of the clients that are currently working and have worked with LAHH in the past couple of years. Their training with the staff that they have on-site is hard to put into words because you have to see it in action....watch how the staff has grown and changed....watch how our staff has adopted each and every one of the crew from LAHH...feel the love and appreciation from the parents of many of the clients familes that see the amazing change in their sons/daughters as they grow and learn and develop as individiuals that are paticapting in our every day dream of having a job, making some money and have honor and respect to go along wtih that. LAHH is an organization that has the right idea, the right concept and is accomplishing so much more than they truly get credit for. I am a huge fan and frankly I take personal joy and satisfaction knowing that I played a big roll in them coming on board with my company......love LAHH, love the crew, love the overall feel I get on a daily basis when I see them working.

Working for LAHH gives me a gift to see first hand how work with all of its tasks, demands, joys, accomplishments, time, and energy builds a person, first and foremost how this work builds me. Work is a path of love therefore what I do each day for LAHH, be it pay an invoice, make a phone call, provide on the job support, or something else gives me the chance to build my life and the life of another person. We recruit and hire people who otherwise would be without a job, without a place to make their contribution.

My husband and I have come to know this non-profit organization through friends few years back. We like to read their monthly newsletter which is full of their employees uplifting stories. It is evident that LAHH not only offers a job, but also a "home" to these employees who have been left out by the society. We met several times the two founders, Guido and Nancy, and hope to see them again soon. We are moved and grateful to collaborate with LAHH through our donations. Chiara

I have worked with MANY non-profit organizations in the past. LAHH is one whose mission is particularly relevant for the reality we are living today. I encourage EVERYONE to get involved and help in any way you can! Spread the word about this GREAT organization!

LAHH is by far one of the most efficacious and useful charitable organizations operating in the U.S. today. It demonstrates the value of the human person regardless of background or ability, and affords opportunities for those who would otherwise have none to demonstrate their ability to become successful contributors to the work force on whatever level is possible. This organization deserves to spread nationally because of its potential.

I had the good fortune to visit the offices of the Los Angeles Habilitation House last May to interview the directors. This venture is unique in that the focus is on helping some individuals holistically, who have been challenged by disability, to be successful at their work, which in turn impacts their lives with family and friends. The clients are accompanied day by day in this positive experience of work. For people, change requires an intensive labor, not a quick fix, and to me LAHH exemplifies this endeavor beautifully.

In a city full of vanity non-profits which seek to raise money for pet-causes or to proclaim a message, LAHH stands out as an employer interested in the potential of the human person.

I have known Guido and Nancy for several years and worked with them both before they started this organization. They both left good paying and important positions in the business world to pursue something that was more meaningful and closer to their hearts. I admire that and think this shows how dedicated, unselfish and committed they are. That's a rarity in this world of "me, me, me." I have watched this organization grow from day one and am so proud of the successes they have had in a relatively short period of time. The entire group are all so dedicated to their mission and I'd like to see them continue to grow.

Nancy and Guido are genuine caring people since I have started working with them in August 2009, I have learned a lot not in just the working field aspect of things, but of the other side of it. That is the nurturing and caring part about people no matter what is going on with them. Showing someone you care goes a long way in life. I believe in this company and I believe they will succeed with a little love and support. I wish you my best! Jessicag
