The Los Angeles Arboretum is a wonderful place to visit. Its rich with history and has a 127 acres for all ages to enjoy.
During a stroll on the grounds, you will see hundreds of ever changing trees and plants which make each visit feel as if it were your first.
Through the support of the Los Angeles Arboretum Foundation and over 300 volunteers, members and guests can enjoy various gardens, Baldwin Lake, historical buildings and attend educational programs and special events.

Mission: Our mission is to cultivate our natural, horticultural and historic resources for learning, enjoyment and inspiration. We strive to reflect Southern California’s distinct climate, community and openness to new ideas. The Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden is a unique 127-acre botanical garden and historical site that includes Native American, Rancho Period, and late 19th century treasures.
Results: The Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden was created as a living classroom in 1947 and, today, it continues to highlight the wonders of the botanic and natural world and illustrate the profound relationship between individuals and their environment. The Arboretum serves 435,000+ annual visitors including 17,000+ children, the majority coming from Title I schools. Its 127 acres includes over 10,000 species of plants, four historic landmark buildings, and an extensive botanical library.
