Programs: Lifeshare's services included recruitment, collection, testing, processing and distribution of whole blood and components for hospitals. Lifeshare is a member of america's blood centers, the national organization of independent blood centers, is accredited by the american association of blood banks and licensed by the fda. In 2014 lifeshare distributed over 70,000 units of blood products.
6,119 units of pheresis platelets were collected. These units are transfused into individuals battling cancer or leukemia. Platelets help patient's blood clot and prevent fatal hemorrhaging.
