Mission: Development of an aboretum and nature center
Programs: Primary accomplishment was planning and design of the arboretum itself and design of the permanent structure. The organization has engaged a firm for this purpose and has invested $173,286 in design costs with a remaining commitment of $33,334 as of year end. During the year the organization acquired a building bordering the arboretum that will servce as the nature center and house offices and equipment used by the arboretum.
the longview arboretum and nature center has obtained grants from the three governmental agencies to assist in building the arboretum. As of year end the funds have not been transferred to the arboretum.
