Mission: To preserve and use the historical and artistic legacy of longue vue and its creators to educate and inspire people to pursue beauty and civic responsibility in their lives.
Programs: The house and gardens are open to the public as a museum of decorative arts, and the gardens are also maintained for public viewing. In 2014 approximately 35,000 people visited the house and gardens.
lucy c. Rousell discovery garden is longue vue's 1/2-acre interactive children's garden. Filled with garden-based educational activities, the discovery garden allows children of all ages and their parents to learn science concepts in an inspiring "outdoor classroom. " garden stations include the secret garden, butterfly garden, worm dig, design garden, herb maze and vegetable garden.
