SOCCERPARENT's experience is not unique. Fortunately, her hoped for solution has been significantly realized with the termination of the Lonestar's Dir. of Coaching in July, 2011.

The Lonestar Soccer Club represents a unique opportunity for the right management team to get pointed in the right direction. Rather than winning at all costs & without material regard for the development and needs of players at all levels & their parents & coaches, the new team has the opportunity to continue to put teams on the field that compete at the highest levels, while aggressively developing players in a programmatic & sensible fashion, and better involving the parents and coaches in this mission.

Good luck to all involved.

This club monoplizes the Austin area, thus it does not create a healthy environment for players. There is a huge level of fear amongst the parents and players. They fell trapped and at the mercy of the club. I would seek other options. There are a few coming in that are truly in it for the player and development of the player. LSC wants parent and player to be loyal to the club, BUT the club is not loyal to the parent or player. Players are threatened (high level teams) that they can be replaced and players are pitted agains each other via for positions rather than working together to create cohesiveness and chemistry. Rather than develop from within - they recruit heavily from the outside. Please beware!
