I have volunteered at the Loaves and Fishes Ministry after retiring about three years ago. I have also served on the Board of Directors for about ten years as a community at large member. The agency was born at the grass roots level and continues because of the support of a a number of local Protestant churches, individuals, and local and national funding resources. We provide transitional housing with supportive services: and a day center, where showers, laundry, clothing, daily snacks and groceries are available. Loaves and Fishes is a blessing to me and to the persons who are homeless, or working and poor who find a moment, or a lifetime of respect, care, and support here.
