This is a gorgeous camp built on Deer Lake near Grand Rapids, MN. Campers come for a week, one of several weeks of children's camp offered every summer. The staff are volunteers and really love the kids! They spend many hours outside, swimming, hiking, playing capture the flag which is so great for kids who tend to be inactive at home. They also develop friendships with other campers and counselors. The love of Jesus is evident in this place!

This is an amazing Christian Bible camp that has changed countless lives. I attended as a camper, and now am one of the volunteers that work for the four weeks of the summer during camp. All of the volunteers are very friendly, kind, and loving people who really care for the campers. The administrators are extremely kind and generous, and are a joy to be around. The facility itself is built on Deer Lake, which is a beautiful, clear blue lake. There is a very spacious lodge that is very nice. There are also currently 3 camper cabins for campers and volunteers to stay in. It is an incredible place to be, and you will not realize how beautiful it is until you see it all.

This camp has been unable to build for years because of the lake homeowners association dragging them into court to stop it. In the meantime they have rented another property, Timber Bay Camp, EVERY YEAR to run their 4 week summer camp until they could have their own facility. Now, finally, the appeals court has upheld all their permits, and they are building! They have a lodge and 3 cabins right now and will continue to develop the camp. It is going to be beautiful! Through the years this camp has been amazing. Run by volunteers for the past 20+ years, my kids attended and I have volunteered. Kids have an amazing time and they unashamedly teach the kids about the Bible. Ask kids who have attended and their parents--this ministry is amazing! The reviews that say there is no camp are ridiculous, because I have volunteered and my children have attended every year for the last 10 years--just at a different location than the one in Grand Rapids. We're so glad they're finally able to build at their own site!

This is a Christian, Bible-based camp staffed entirely by volunteers. Because of this, and because of donations, LWBC is able to offer 5 full days of camp to children in grades 3-8 at a greatly reduced cost. It has a serious emphasis, with children spending at least 4 hours a day in various types of Biblical instruction, and another hour of singing. There is also plenty of fun, with swimming, canoeing, games, and crafts. The children are well cared for and really enjoy their time at camp. Many express their joy of learning so much in such a short time.
