Hello! My name Kelli Kimbrell. I have been in We Are Living Proof since November 2020. I have a year clean from all mind altering substances since September 25th 2020. This program has absolutely saved my life. I am so grateful for this new way of life. The staff is absolutely wonderful! Especially David Hunt, Amy Walters, Chris Burns, Ellie Hammett, Randy Craft, and Christy Nemeth! I love them so much. Amazing people. They truly want what’s best for you.
I was welcomed here when I was at my lowest. They have helped me plug back into life. I am working back in my field and built a network of amazing people.
I came here a year ago living on the streets under a bridge. They help me get a job that job went to permanent when covid hit I could work at my job no longer now I drive for we are living proof they gave me a chance at life again we are one thing happy family if you want sobriety and a sober community give it a chance. I rebuilt relationship with my sons. I've worked the 12 steps program of alcoholics anonymous. All because I was given a chance. They loved me when I couldn't even love myself great place. This is my family.
I was addicted to heroin, xanax, and meth. I am a resident at Living Proof. Living Proof has given me the tools to maintain sobriety. Before coming to Living Proof I was homeless, jobless, afraid, and lonely. I have a sponsor I work the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous with. I attend a 12 step meeting everyday and work a "normal" job. Thanks to Living Proof I am learning how to become a responsible productive woman. My relationships with my family and friends is being restored everyday. This place is given me my life back plus the life I only dreamed of. I am excited about my life and my recovery now!
I was addicted to crack, meth, and heroin for 4 years before coming to Living Proof. This program has allowed me to work a successful program of recovery and I now have three months of clean time. This program has absolutely changed my life. Living Proof got me out of the streets and into twelve-step meetings and gainful employment. Before coming to Living Proof I was a part-timer, barely ever paying attention in the meetings and not taking my recovery seriously. Now I treat my recovery just like I would a full-time job and this program has taught me to place my recovery first above anything else in order to succeed.
I truly believe that this program has helped me beyond measure. Living Proof has kept me off the streets, away from drugs, crime-free, and has become a life-changing experience I'll never forget.
I have been to several different sober living places and could not make it ... I have been here almost 60 days now . They care about you and will help in anyway they can ... The best program I have been at and everyone feels like family. They have really changed my life for the better.
When I discovered this program I was beat down and broken. Sick and tired of being sick and tired and I mean literally. The staff here welcomed me with open, loving arms and loved me until I learned to love myself. With that being said they are a no nonsense organization that will not enable distructive behavior while teaching individuals how to use the tools of recovery. Through working a 12 step program I have gained a new way of life and I am forever grateful to this program and these people who not only showed me how to live sober they loved me through it.
I was on the waiting list for only three days and got the call! I have only been here a month but my PO has put me on non report, my parents meet me at church and my kids WANT to hang out with me!
I was strung out on the spice and addicted to kratom, This was the only program my mom could findn that tested for it. I was super pissed at first but now Im clean and not spending 25 a day on some synthetic garbage.
I didnt have a relationship with Jesus before I came here but through the 3pm meetings and Life Lessons with Pastor Andy Stanley, I now walk with Christ. Thats the first and foremost thing I have gained with LP.
Kane Dupree in the NC location is like the light from a city on a hill. His passion cannot be unseen.
As with most addicts, my parents eventually stopped messing with me, as was deserved with the stunts that I pulled. Christy and Randy have done a solid and stepped into those roles and helped me work on the relationship that I have mangled. Coming from a program off of Shallowford Access Road, the owner treated me like some junkie profit center and less than a human. My children now call the Director Uncle Randy and I can rest easy knowing he will always be in their lives. Although he is a Cowboys fan, I love the man to death,=.
Heroin is bad in Atlanta, I bounced back between houses for four years before the court mandated to be to care of Mr. Craft. When I first got there, I thought he was just another version of the other Executive Directors that I had been around. That lasted about a day. He is like the father I never had and gave me the tough love and guidance that I apparently required. LOL.
My child was addicted to the heroin for eight years. She now is clean, works a job that Jesus would approve of and has custody of her kids. Thank you Randy and Christy for never giving up!
I was with another sober living program for two years prior to coming to this program roughly eight months ago. While with the other program, I continually used drugs and drank because I was allowed to stay as long as I paid my dues on time or agreed to a fine of sorts. I finally had the gumption to leave the program and follow my friends to SLR after they talked it up for a month and it was the best move I have ever made. I am so happy here and glad I left where I was at, which was just a workcamp at best.
This place really changes lives!!! I got my kids back after 11 long months a job and a house! It's more than a sober living, it's a family we never knew we needed
Changed my life in every way. Has provided me a stable way of living I always failed at alone. Great community atmosphere with all the support you need. You have to do tye footwork but tye results are life altering.
