Such an amazing organization! It really helped my family out with a very expensive surgery for our sweet Nova when a large tumor was diagnosed in her lung! Today she's still with us and happy as can be. She's well past the median life expectancy with no signs of recurrence yet and almost 13 years old!! Thank you so much for helping us keep her happy and get more golden years!!

Live Like Roo helped me pay for cancer treatment for my dog when we had financially hit rock bottom. He has since made a full recovery and is cancer free! I truly am not sure what I would have done without their help. Once we are back on our feet, I look forward to donating and supporting this organization in whatever way possible. We are so very very grateful. Thank you LLR for all that you do. You helped save my babies life!

Live Like Roo is an incredible organization with so many compassionate, dedicated volunteers. I fostered a senior pittie with mast cell cancer, and the support of LLR made a world of difference for both him and myself. I will forever be grateful for them and everything they did for my sweet Mulligan.

I received a care package when my pittie, Hines Ward, was diagnosed with cancer. It was a wonderful surprise that brought so much light and love into a very dark time.

I was so thankful for the gesture that I decided to pay it forward. I have sent a few care packages to friends who also had to deal with this awful diagnosis.

I will always support Live like Roo! Such an amazing and caring organization!

I've been doing rescue for about 25 years, spending many thousands of dollars of my own money. I hit a rough patch financially, and my 10 year old rescue Lilly suddenly became very ill with chronic explosive diarrhea, insane fluid retention, and rapid muscle wasting. Vet said it was either cancer or PLE - protein losing enteropathy. Each disease needed very different treatment approaches. To know which way to proceed, we needed a $650 ultrasound. LLR didn't even hesitate to pay for it. It was PLE, so I was able to spend the next 9 months working with my vet to try meds and diet modifications to get her stabilized. We ultimately lost her to this horrible disease, but I was SO grateful that I didn't have to give up on her 9 months earlier, without even trying to save her one and only precious life. I will be forever grateful to LLR, and I donate back to them regularly, so that they can help other people and animals they way they helped me when I really needed it. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Live Like Roo helped me with medical costs when my dog, Jagr, had thyroid cancer. I've also sent care packages to friends whose pets had cancer. They were thrilled to receive something good in the midst of so much bad news. Live Like Roo is one of those "better angels" you hear about but so often aren't lucky enough to see . (Full disclosure, I volunteer for LLR now to pay the kindness forward.)

My sweet boy kubbie got diagnosed with oral melanoma. He fought a long hard battle with it, and in the end live like roo came to sweep us up off our feet. Unfortunately it was too late for my baby, but with their kindness and generosity we were able to squeeze in a photoshoot, and we had end of life support and costs covered and even therapy to help me through one of the hardest times of my life. Kubbie was my soul-dog and to not have to worry about the stress of finances to keep him comfortable and end of life costs we were able to make the time we had left with him as precious as possible.

LLR not only covered our boys cancer treatment, but they also provided emotional support and came with me to his first oncology appointment. He would not have made it as long as he did- with such a good quality of life, without them- I know that for a fact. After he passed they sent us a package in the mail- the sweetest gift with our baby’s face on it, and shared resources for support groups, etc. when I was really struggling with the loss. LLR provided our fospice dog Millie (pictured) with a care package and an amazing girls night out that allowed her to feel like the special girl that she was, full on massage, pizza and hotel stay. This allowed us to enjoy a weekend with her and briefly forget about her cancer diagnoses.
A few years later, we were faced with 3 of our pets having cancer back to back and not having the funds to help all 3 of them. LLR generously helped us cover cost of care for our cat Lazaro. Though he didn’t make it, we had peace of mind knowing it wasn’t due to financial reasons. LLR allowed us to give him the medial care he needed. Sarah was so compassionate and understanding of our situation.
Our prayers for help were answered through her. In such a devastating time for our family she truly made a difference in our lives.
We will forever be grateful to LLR.

I’ve known Sarah for a pretty long time when she volunteered at the CACC transfer team. I volunteered at a rescue that is well reputable and a dog came in that stole their hearts. I ended up up fostering and then foster failing Malcolm. He was the best dog , but for a regular person they could not handle him from his past traumas and we made it work and we loved him unconditionally. Fast forward Malcolm came down with an aggressive cancer and Sarah found out. Roo gave him his care package, a photo shoot with the family and handled all of the end of life arrangements. I will never be able to thank Sarah and her organization for her friendship, genuine caring and friendship…..we had just gone thru two cancer deaths prior to Malcolm in the same year and she helped at a monumental moment. Thank you Sarah and Roo for all you do❤️. We love you and miss you everyday Malcolmator❤️❤️❤️❤️

LLR helped us through one of the most difficult times in our life. We were 4 months away from welcoming our first child into the world when we found out our senior dog had bone cancer. We got 9 more months with him but over that time spent thousands to keep him comfortable. Also in that time one of our younger dogs was diagnosed with multiple mast cell tumors and had vet bills herself. LLR helped relieve some of the financial burden of keeping our older dog comfortable and with follow up care for our younger dog.

I did a go fund me to pay for the removal surgery of 5 mast cells tumor. There was 1 additional mast cell tumor that was inoperable. I was not sure how I was going to come up with the money for this very expensive chemo treatment. Live like roo paid for Bella's Stellfonta injection. This was a huge relief to me. The Live Like Roo Foundation is an incredible organization that provides support and financial assistance to families with pets that have cancer. I personally experienced their compassion and support when my beloved dog, Bitsy, was diagnosed with lymphoma in November.

In less than a week, Bitsy received a beautiful care package from the Live Like Roo Foundation. The care package was filled with thoughtful items, such as a personalized blanket, a bandana, and a toy. But the most precious gift was the friendship and support that I gained from the other cancer parents in the Live Like Roo community Facebook page.

The Live Like Roo Foundation gave me the idea to create a bucket list for Bitsy, and checking items off that list was some of the most fond memories that we shared in her last days. We went on picnics, had fast food, and ate ice cream and other treats. We also took lots of photos. BitsyBoo crossed the Rainbow Bridge December 22, 2022.

We are grateful for the support that they gave, and we would highly recommend the Live Like Roo Foundation to anyone with a pet that has cancer.

I found out about the Live Like Roo Foundation while I was looking at other dog pages that I followed. I thought it was so amazing what they were doing, and how many people they were helping. It wasn't until March of 2018 when I noticed a lump on my dog Roxy, and then an odd rash that I started to get concerned. After several tests it was determined that she had a very rare form of cancer called epidermotropic lymphoma. I didnt know what to do, or how I was going to pay for it. I reached out to Live Like Roo, and they said they were there for whatever we needed. I was working 3 jobs at the time, had started a fundraiser and still wondered how i was going to do everything i could for her. She was my best friend. Live Like Roo helped me pay for chemo, diagnostic treatment, and were there every step of the way. They also sent the most amazing care package, with some her favorite things. Lady was almost 14 when she passed and we are thankful to have had a few extra months with our beloved Lady. In 2018, my dog Trigger was diagnosed with oral cancer. He was 10 years old at the time. Live Like Roo was there again with financial support, care package and emotional support. Trigger was cancer-free after his surgery! We were able to have another 5 years with our sweet boy. Live Like Roo is a perfect example of compassion and a heartfelt love for animals, helping them get well and helping their families navigate a cancer diagnosis.
I found and followed Sarah on instagram for years prior as she volunteered and spread awareness for animal rescue. Her efforts with rescue were inspiring, but most inspiring was her journey to honor her dog Roo, through this foundation.
Then, sadly, all the posts I spent years getting choked up over became very real for me. Gavin was 14, in good shape, but he developed a cancerous tumor on his paw pads.
if you look at the website and see the stories, you see the absolute tireless effort they put into honoring Roo, and his legacy of making sure dogs (and their people!) have the chance to live fully like it's their last day, every day. Live Like Roo made the worst time of my life easier. With their financial assistance, I had the mental energy to fight for Gavin without worry. In his last days, I had the chance to grieve without worry as well. Sarah followed up with me, making sure i was doing ok and offered support, advice and sent a lovely post to the LLR community to honor him.
Live Like Roo is Sarah and Roo's memory at heart but she has a small but mighty army behind her with hearts just as big. Volunteers and community members willing to do whatever they can to make sick animals able to fight, and put their people at ease to care for them. They go beyond grants and fundraises with vigor to keep the foundation alive and helping animals. They run annual events but in between they are always raising awareness and advocating for the foundation.
I feel so honored to have Gavin tied to the Roo legacy. While my heart will never fully heal, I am so beyond thankful this foundation was here for us.

I found out about Live Like Roo through a facebook page. I'm not sure how - it was sort of a rabbit hole of pages that ultimately led me to the foundation. When I first started following Live Like Roo, it was as a person - just a regular person who found the page and followed a dog. Just a dog - who came from the shelter. A dog who would change the lives of so many. I have been volunteering for the foundation since the very beginning. I have participated in events, I have held events, and I have done things on my own. I cannot imagine giving my time to any other organization - they do so much good for so many people, I will never be able to find another organization that works as closely to something that is as close to my heart as they do. I cannot imagine another organization that does as much good as the Live Like Roo Foundation does - And I will always be grateful that they exist.

Live Like Roo is an amazing group of compassionate, caring individuals who help make the terrible journey of cancer with our loved ones a little more manageable. They sent my sweet dog, Bosley, a care package that he absolutely loved and they assisted me in paying some of his very high medical bills for his bladder cancer treatment. When I reached out for help again with my sweet kitty, Bee, who had SCC during the pandemic, they could not immediately help due to not having as many fundraisers during the pandemic. They still put me on a waiting list and when they had funds, they helped me pay off some of Bee’s medical bills although I had sadly lost him already. They knew that I still had to continue to pay the vet bills though so they helped me. It is the most difficult thing to watch our babies suffer with cancer and they take some of the financial burden away by helping with vet bills. They are truly a Godsend.

Live Like Roo helped prolong Zeke's life. He was a hospice dog with testicular cancer. Sadly, due to severe neglect, he was never neutered even though it would have cured him had it been done in time. He lived outside in filth for 15 years. Thanks to Live Like Roo, we were able to rescue him and give him 8 months of love and care. He thrived until his time came. He was the best boy and we will forever love him.

LLR also gave our rescue an enormous amount of help with Leo. He was also severely neglected. Sadly, he had a very rare skin cancer, and without LLR, we wouldn't have been able to afford all of his treatments. Leo was also given 8 months of treats and TLC before he passed. We are so thankful for LLR.

I first heard of Live Like Roo Foundation when I received a box in January 2022 filled with comfort/care items for my dog 'Sugar' who was recently diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in December 2021. I was completely floored by such an incredible gesture. I was so touched by this gesture and who they are and then I began to learn 'ALL' they do for people and their pets who are undergoing a cancer diagnosis. I was also able to receive some financial support from them. They hold an annual 'Live Like Roo' Ice Cream Social to spread awareness on who they are and the awesome Team they have to provide so much for families going thru this horrible disease. My girl 'Sugar' unfortunately passed away in August due to the advancement of her cancer. I am so grateful for "Live Like Roo' ~ their team and all they do. Facing this diagnosis of my girl was heartbreaking and her passing has left me completely crushed. Thank you......from the bottom of my heart. Lisa & Sugar

In December of 2019 my Mooge was diagnosed with lung cancer. I have always struggled with money and making ends meet on a good day. So, when she got sick the bills were overwhelming. Live Like Roo added a much needed bump to her GoFundMe, and we were able to have the surgery she needed. Ultimately, the cancer came back, rapidly, and I lost Mooge shortly after her surgery. We were together for 15 years, and she was the love of my life. Even though Mooge didn't make it, Live Like Roo participated in an effort to make sure she did, and I will always appreciate that. Nothing but love for Roo.

When my dog needed emergency surgery to remove a large mass on her spleen, I reached out to Live Like Roo. They got back to me quickly and we got started on the process to help out my sweet pup. They were so helpful and kind and were able to get the money for her surgery super fast. It was such a help to the financial burden of emergency surgery. They were so helpful and kind. Live Like Roo is an amazing foundation.

Live Like Roo helped us with 2 of our dogs and we are forever grateful. The first one had a mast cell tumor on his head a bit behind his eye. Thankfully the vet was able to get it and good margins so no other issues! Our 2nd dog, her illness came on quick and had metastasized Without us knowing anything was wrong; she had metastatic malignant neoplasia. Sadly, we had to say goodbye to her within 4 days of her diagnosis. LLR helped us with her ultrasound, fluid drainage, x-rays, and even a wonderful vet who came to our house on. Sunday evening so we could let her go peacefully surrounded by her family. The support and love we felt will never be forgotten and we will continue to support the LLR foundation so they can continue their mission. We know how devastating a cancer diagnosis is, LLR is exactly the support that’s needed.

LiveLikeRoo was there for me before I even knew I needed them. I was first a volunteer helping make blankets for care packages and then I found myself with a dog that had cancer. LLR was there for me whenever and however I needed them. And to this day, even though my dog is no longer with me, LiveLikeRoo still is. I tell everyone I know about this foundation because they are not only here to help animals, they are there for the humans too.

We were a week into fostering a senior Puggle and we found cancer on him. Live Like Roo paid for a substantial amount of his cancer surgery. Soon thereafter we made him a permanent member of our family.

Live Like Roo doesn't just serve canines- they also helped me with my cat, Zelda. While Zelda ended up in hospice care and passed away recently, it is because of the work of Sarah and the folks at LLR that I was able to focus on the love and care that Zelda needed and not worry about the financial aspects of it. The cancer care packages are wonderful, not just for the pets, but also for the owners- it's a nice reminder that there are others there supporting you too, and I know that now that Z is gone, I treasure the items that came with that package- a toy mouse that she loved, a pop-up cube, and a nice blanket for her to curl up in (just to name a few).
I will forever and always be grateful to LLR. They are there to support people through some of the hardest times and do it with love and grace.

Such a wonderful organization! Not only do they help raise and donate money for pets with cancer whose parents need financial help, but they help organize photo shoots, send memorial items to families whose pups have passed, and offer care packages. They also have an active support group on Facebook free for people to join, where they can get advice but more importantly feel the community support them.

Live Like Roo has been there for me through two dogs with cancer. I lost my GSD to lymphoma in 2017 when he was 6. We received the best care package that was a ray of sunshine during the darkest time. They also helped financially my current dog, a Boxer mix who is 12, with soft tissue sarcoma. She underwent surgery and radiation therapy that we had to move out of state for a month to be able to get treatment. This group also offers emotional support and many other services. They have done so much for not only myself but so many others that I became a volunteer to help raise donations and awareness so they can continue helping so many more.

My best friend, woodie the beagle. started life in a horrible place with no sunlight or human contact. Years after I got him, when he was diagnosed w cancer, Live like Roo came to my aid by supporting me both financially and emotionally during his treatment. I wanted to keep making up for the bad years he had had. And boy did Live Like Roo help. He truly did get a new lease on life. This group is all volunteer run and the best people you will ever know. What they do for pets, their owners and the community at large is unmatched. Their care, concern and generosity helped me through a horrible time. And they are so well known in the animal rescue world - this non profit really does make the world a better place every day.

What an incredible organization! Nothing ever prepares you to hear the word "cancer," but Live Like Roo is there when you do. It's such a frightening experience and no one who hasn't gone through it understands. LLRF understands. They have been there for us over and over again throughout the years, handling the costs so we can focus on our pups. We'd be so lost without LLRF.

An amazing group of leaders and volunteers help to run this organization - and it's a combination of TOP LEVEL support, guidance, education, and FUN. Their mission is amazing, they have helped SO MANY animals, including my beloved Larry the Shar Pei who passed away over 5 years ago from melanoma of the tongue. With such a great loss, I because a part of this foundation - such goodness to come from one of the saddest times of my life. The events Live Like Roo organizes are amazing, and where the fun is inserted - they know how to throw a party! And also know how to find the perfect spot for all to gather and participate in ways that help raise funds to keep their mission alive. Roo would be beyond proud of his savior Sarah's growth and success with the Live Like Roo Foundation.

In 7 years since Live Like Roo was founded, this amazing organization has provided over $1.5 million in financial support to more than 20,000 families with pets facing a cancer diagnosis. As important as their financial support is the emotional support provided by founder, Sarah Lauch and her incredible staff is so appreciated and needed by families. It includes amazing care packages for their pets and ongoing communication with them.
As someone who lost 2 rescue dogs to terminal cancer before Live Like Roo existed this organization and the amazing work they do has a special place in my heart.
Sarah is an inspiration and I have been supporting LLR since it's inception as a monthly donor and volunteer.
