Mission: The Little Theatre of Winston-Salem has, for 70 years, brought quality theatrical entertainment and theatre arts education to the citizens of the community. Critically acclaimed for its high production values, standards of quality and local talent, The Little Theatre is the cornerstone of Winston-Salem's grassroots performing arts. With produce 6 Main Stage productions (3 musicals/3 plays, 4 Second Stage Reader's Theatre Projects and up to 4 ACT Student Productions. In addition, for the past four years we have hosted a Shakespeare Sonnet & Monologue Competition among high school students who compete for scholarships and cash awards. Our staff members are active within the community and the local school system as teachers, directors, designers, writers and performers. We work in conjunction with local area charities and organizations such as the Red Cross, local Food Banks, Cancer Services, Urban League, and other service based organizations, to assist them in their charitable outreach and fund raising.
